the prestigious Outstanding ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs 2022, you have brought honour to the
ASEAN and Thai people.

The Award is in recognition of the immense service you have rendered that you have brought
significant benefits to Thai economies and societies through your hard work and dedication, even
in the most challenging circumstances of the pandemic. It is my pleasure to thank you for many
contributions to the people you have supported over the years through the robust engagements
and partnerships. This achievement is certainly a well-deserved award in recognition of your
leadership and significant contributions to advancing women’s entrepreneurship and women’s
economic empowerment in Thailand.

May I also take this opportunity to congratulate all ASEAN Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs

I know your success has been achieved with a lot of hard work and determination, and I salute you for
your outstanding achievements. Especially at this time when we are facing a global challenge of economic
recovery, your achievements attained during the pandemic are valuable contributions to our economy and
serve as an inspiration to everyone, especially to other aspiring women entrepreneurs. This gives you an
opportunity to show them that it can be done and to share with them how it can be done. Congratulations
also to each and every person and organization who has supported you on this journey to success.

Since the day of establishment, 16 women have been appointed as President
of the Federation. The current President, Khunying Natthika Wattanavekin Angu-
bolkul (2014-2019) has been elected for another consecutive term (2019-2022).
The objectives of the Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Associations of
Thailand under The Royal Patronage of H.M. the Queen or BPW Thailand are as follows:

1) To strengthen friendship and understanding among businesses and professional
women in Thailand and internationally.

2) To honor women and improve the status of women in business and professional
women at all levels.

3) To improve standard practices for business operations and services.
4) To unite and promote the capability of business and professional women to make
a difference in society at both national and international levels.
Members of the Business and Professional Women’s Associations are all successful
and well-known business and professional women both from the public and private
sectors, with the aim of developing the skills of women in the local community to be fully
equipped with capabilities to run businesses successfully. The Association offers various
activities to support and encourage local women with new start-up businesses to join the
association. The Business and Professional Women’s Associations continuously organize
various activities including the Role Model Project for Business and Professional Women,
which began in 1971. This project selects women with successful businesses and good
morals to become role models for members of the public.

AWEN is a network of business women in the Southeast Asian region, operating to exchange

helping people and the planet. Over the past five years, DTGO has allocated over
35 million USD to support education for thousands of underprivileged children and
to help “Bhutan for Life” sustain one of the world’s top forest ecosystems. During
the COVID-19 outbreak, Mrs. Thippaporn initiated programs to meet the critical
needs of those hardest hit. “Forest for Life” helped 1,000 households earn by
nurturing 1 million trees. The “Light of Heart” field hospital took in 1,234 patients
(10,923 patient-days).

Mrs. Thippaporn is the first woman to receive a PropertyGuru Icon Award.
She has served various global communities such as MIT Sloan’s Sustainability
Initiative Advisory Board during 2018-19. With her purposeful vision and

This is the motto of Mrs. Vichittra as a
guideline for daily living and her dream
of business. From a small trading firm
in the frozen sea-food business, Mrs.
Vichittra tried to create confidence in
her customers by presenting products
of good quality, good price and speed
and efficiency in delivering products
as well as offering good services and
maintaining good relationships with
them. This, in turn, won her customers’
trust and caused her business to grow
and expand into one of the biggest
manufacturers and exporters of frozen
seafood and processed food, and
value-added and ready meal food in the
country. Now she has three factories and
about 5000 employees. Her business
also expanded into the manufacture
of canned tuna, and is among the world’s
leaders with about 15,000 workers
and annual revenue of about 30,000
million Baht or 900 million dollars.

All these successes did not
happened by chance or overnight;
it took almost 30 years to build it up
with much perseverance and patience.
She had to develop and adjust her
business to be in line with the changing
business world and in accordance with

ever-changing consumer behaviour. Vichittra’s principle is to follow the Code of Conduct
and Ethics in conducting an honest business that inspires trust and confidence in her

Initiative and Creativity. I’m not only devoted my time to build my organization to be stronger
and sustsinable, but also creating women’s right and freedom that is my return to society.”

The other role in her life that is no less important is her family. She has devoted
her all to being a good wife and helping cheer up her husband and cherish her three
children. Her children are also beginning to take care of the business to ensure
growth and sustainability. They now have their own happy families with many lovely
grandchildren for her. This gives warmth in the family and is a perfect life. She has attained
her target with a sense of completeness.

Dr. Rassarin Chinnachodteeranun,
the founding CEO of a Thai and Japanese
company, is a shining example of women’s
empowerment in Asia as only about 8%
of Japanese companies have a woman
as their top executive. Being the founder
and CEO of a Thai and Japanese startup
is thus in itself a great contribution to
pioneering the advancement of women in
Asian business.

Dr. Rassarin founded ListenField in
2017 to bridge the gap between scientists,
technologists, and farmers in the field. With
a strong commitment to be relevant and
practical, ListenField has been able to
develop an analytical platform, FarmAI
which generates data-driven insights for all
stakeholders in the agriculture supply chain.
ListenField is a company that specializes in
applying precision technology to promote
agricultural productivity and environmental
sustainability by allowing users to see the
future of farming.

Dr. Rassarin was born and raised in
Ban Na, a small village 100km from Bangkok
in Thailand. Ban Na literally translates to
“village of rice fields”. Thailand is a major
food exporter, but farmers, especially small

farmers, remain poor. Coming from
a smallholder agriculture household,
helping farmers to improve their
livelihoods has been her goal since her

During her Chairpersonship, she has initiated many projects enhancing the value
of diversity. She truly inspired Thai female engineers to step out and develop career
progression equal to their male colleagues.

At the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, she gathered a group of volunteer
engineers to support medical personnel in the fight against the disease. She encouraged
the engineers to use their engineering knowledge to develop robotics, telemedicine, etc.,
and led a group of engineers in the development of a digital map platform called “Jitasa.
care” with about 10,000 volunteers helping infected patients across the country to get
access to medical facilities, treatment and medicine. The platform attracted the attention
of the media and the Thai Government and has become known nationwide as one of the
most successful and reliable applications.

A self-respect and can-do attitude is embedded in her mind, and she leads by example.
Her success has been earned by having a positive attitude and the right mindset “If a man
can change the world with his strength, delicacy can work for a woman”.

restaurants in Bangkok, mainly located
in premier shopping complexes, one in
Chiang Mai and one in Phuket.

Due to the success of the business,
Narawadee franchised Nara Thai
restaurant and has expanded the
business overseas. Nara Thai restaurant
is presently operating in Taiwan,
Sri Lanka, India, Hong Kong, the

As a businesswoman with a passion for golf, Mrs. Chanya Swangchit plays golf and
owns two golf courses. One is the Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club in Pattaya, Chonburi,
which is internationally qualified to host both international tournaments, such as the Ladies
European Tour, and national tournaments, such as the King’s Cup. Another is the future

Dr. Supamas joined CH.
Karnchang in 2006 after completing
her Ph.D. and started her career
in the Office of President, working
closely with the Board of Directors,
Executive Board and the President
where she benefitted from learning
first-hand about the key strategies
and management decisions. During
her early years at CH. Karnchang,
Dr. Supamas was instrumental in
the implementation of the Enterprise
Resource Planning Program (ERP)
and the establishment of Risk
Management. In 2011, Dr.Supamas
was appointed CK Power’s Managing
Director to spinoff and successfully
list CKP in the Stock Exchange of
Thailand in 2013.

Returning to CH. Karnchang as
its President in 2015, Dr. Supamas
aimed to continue building a strong
backlog of good projects, optimize
margin performance and the

Festival of Dance & Music, the largest

Ballet, the Stuttgart Ballet, the Israel Symphony Orchestra under the baton
of Maestro Zubin Mehta, the San Carlo Opera Theatre, as well as numerous
international folk groups, contemporary dance and Broadway musicals.
I oversee more than 1000 performers over 6 weeks annually, raising funds and
creating friendships and alliances throughout the private and public sector.
Through the festival we work closely with public schools to promote art and
culture to the next generation of Thais through targeted educational campaigns
and guided visits. The Student Outreach Program is an indispensable
component of Bangkok’s International Festival of Dance & Music, of which a
core mission is to expose young people to the performing arts. Immersion in
the world of dance and music builds creativity, inspires out-of-the-box thinking,
and shows young people all of the wonderful possibilities of expression and
self-actualization. We aim to raise the standard of dance and music education
for youth in Thailand, in part by providing opportunities for young artists from
around the world to visit and engage with our artists in Thailand. The hope is
that engaging with and learning to appreciate music, dance and drama and
other arts from different cultures, communities and traditions will shape our
future generations into true global citizens.
