NOVENA TO THE MOST MIRACULOUS MOTHER OF GOOD HEALTH   

SHIVAJI NAGAR, BENGALURU. 

 

Antiphon: O Most Miraculous Mother of Good Health, Our refuge and our health,                                  
    deliver us from everyday evil and give heed to our cries. 

 

Introductory  Opening  Prayer:  Mother  Most  Holy,  our  refuge  and  our  strength,  we 
thank  you  for  choosing  to  be  present  in  this  holy  shrine  at  Shivaji  nagar.  Here  you 
dispense your favours to all who are needy and approach you with faith. As we stand 
before you, look graciously upon us O Mother of mercy, compassion and good health. 
Heal  all  our  ailments  both  of  body  and  soul.  Through  your  powerful  intercession  may 
everyone who comes here be freed from all evils and one day reach eternal heavenly 
joy with you forever. Amen. 

 

Novena  Prayer  of  Petition:  O  Most  Miraculous  Mother  of  Good  Health,  We  love  you, 
and by the love which we bear you, we promise ever in the future to serve you, to do 
what  lies  in  our  power  to  bring  others  to  your  love.  As  you  stood  beneath  the  cross, 
your  son  Our  Lord  Jesus  said:  ‘Behold  your  son’  and  to  the  disciple:  ‘behold  your 
mother’.  With  this  confidence,  we  put  all  our  trust  and  all  our  hope  in  your  loving 
protection, and as your sons and daughters, we beg of you to obtain from the Lord the 
favours,  we  ask  in  humility  and  in  obedience  to  God’s  Holy  Will  I  pray  (pause  and 
present your petitions now). As you have recommended, we are ready ‘to do whatever 
Jesus  tells  us  to  do’  and  so  we  are  confident  that  by  your  intercession  we  would 
receive these favours along with your blessing and healing. O Most Miraculous Mother 
of Good Health, pray for us.

Prayer of the Faithful 

 
 

Response:     LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER. 
 
1)  We pray for our Pope, our Archbishop, all the bishops, the clergy and religious, that 
they  may  work  for  the  spread  of  the  Kingdom  of  God  and  that  they  may  be  blessed, 
guided and protected in all their efforts. We pray to you O Lord. (Res) 

 

2)    We  pray  for  our  nation,  all  its  leaders  and  all  those  who  bear  the  responsibility  of 
leading  the  nation  towards  progress,  prosperity  and  peace.    Grant  them  strength  and 
sincerity   in rendering their selfless service. We pray to you O Lord. (Res) 

 

3)  We  pray  for  all  the  poor,  downtrodden,  the  abandoned  and  shelterless,  feel  lonely 
at heart.  Fill them with your compassion and embrace them with your love.  We pray 
to you O Lord. (Res) 

 

4)    We  pray  for  all  the  sick  around  the  world,  especially  those  who  are  affected  with 
Covid19  pandemic.    Let  them  feel  your  healing  touch  and  be  cured  from  all  their 
sickness. Grant them good health, body and mind.  We pray to you O Lord. (Res) 
 
 

 
5)  We  pray  for  all  the  devotees  of  Blessed  Mother  Mary,  who  attend  this  Mass  of 
Novena and all our parishioners.  Give heed to their petitions and prayers,  grant them 
through the intercession of our beloved Mother. We pray to you O Lord. (Res)

Concluding  Prayer:  Almighty  and  eternal  Father,  through  the  intercession  of  the 
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Good Health, who bore Your Only Begotten Son in her 
blessed  womb,  listen to  our  humble  prayers,  and  grant  what we  have  asked  in  faith.

Novena  Prayer:  [the  ‘Memorare’  prayer]  Remember,  O  Most  gracious  Virgin  Mary, 
Mother  of  Good  Health,  that  never  was  it  known  that  anyone  who  fled  to  your 
protection,  implored  your  help  or  sought  your  intercession  was  left  unaided.  Inspired 
by  this  confidence,  I  fly  unto  you,  O  Virgin  of  virgins,  my  Mother,  to  you  do  I  come, 
before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not 
my petitions but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen. 

 

Blessing  of  the  Sick:  O  Lord,  look  upon  your  servants  labouring  under  weariness  of 
body  and  soul.  Purified  by  our  sufferings,  may  we  soon  find  ourselves  healed  by  your 
mercy through Christ Our Lord. 

 

Celebrant:  May  the  Lord  Jesus  Christ  be  with  you  to  defend  you;  within  you  that  he 
may  sustain  you;  before  you  that  he  may  lead  you;  behind  you  that  he  may  protect 
you; above you that he may bless you + in the Name of the Father and of the Son and 
of the Holy Spirit. Amen. 

 

Final  Blessing:    May  God,  who  through  the  childbearing  of  the  Blessed  Virgin  Mary 
willed in his great kindness to redeem the human race, be pleased to enrich you with 
his blessing.
