Overview
By AMR Asia Company Limited, the document contains an inventory of Nutanix Server, Cisco

5. Configuration IP Address of IPMI, Host, CVM and Host Name
6. Configuration Nutanix Cluster
7. Select AOS and AHV Version
8. Click Start for Build a Cluster
9. Progres When Completed
Appendix C: How to Start / Stop Nutanix System
How to Stop Nutanix Cluster
1. Startup All AHV Host
• Push bottom on every node
• Waiting about 3-5 minutes, Test ping to AHV Host (172.16.1.101, .102 & .103)
2. Start Cluster Services
• Open program Putty and Connect to 1 of host, IP: 172.16.1.101 Connection type: SSH, login with:
User: root | Password: nutanix/4u
• SSH to CVM via Backplane with IP: 192.168.5.2 via Command:
# ssh [email protected]
password: nutanix/4u
• Check Cluster Status via command:
$ cluster status
In this step you will see all service should be “DOWN”.
• Run Command “Cluster Start” for start all service
$ cluster start
In this step result will show all service must be “UP”
3. Start All VM Guest
• Login to PRISM
https://172.16.1.121:9440 | Username: admin | Password: Nutanix/4u@2019
• Go to VM tab and Power on all Guest
How to Stop Nutanix Cluster
1. Shutdown All Guest
• Login to PRISM
https://172.16.1.121:9440 | Username: admin | Password: Nutanix/4u@2019
• Go to VM tab and Power off all Guest
2. Shutdown Cluster Services
• When Successful Power off all Guest, Login to AHV via Putty
User: root | Password: nutanix/4u
• SSH to CVM via Backplane with IP: 192.168.5.2 via Command:
# ssh [email protected]
password: nutanix/4u
• Run Command “Cluster Stop” for stop all cluster service
$ cluster stop
In this step result will show all service must be “DOWN”
3. Shutdown CVM
• Run Command Shutdown all CVM via command
$ allssh sudo halt
In this step when command successful, terminal will be back to AHV console
• Test ping to all CVM, it must be “time out”
1. Shutdown AHV Host
• In Console AHV from Step 3, ssh to TFBKKHOST02 via command:
Ssh 172.16.1.102
• Shutdown host via command:
# halt
In this step when command successful, terminal will be back to TFBKKHOST01 console
• Repeat step for TFBKKHOST03, ssh 172.16.1.103
• On host TFBKKHOST01, run command
# halt
• When shutdown all host check front panel of NUTANIX server, LED at Power must be no green
light.
