My Scrapbook

Hi! my name is Crystal. I am a metamorphic rock. I have been through
a lot of changes in my life. I kept this scrapbook to show important
times in my life so I could share them with people. I am an assistant
teacher. I am so happy I get to share my life with you!

Note: Crystal is not actually a
crystal. I just wanted her to have
that name.

This is the earth with the layers of rock.
Me!

This is how I first started out, as a
igneous rock. I was originally lava.
After I cooled, and I hardened into a
rock.

After a lot of weathering
and erosion, I turned into a
sedimentary rock.

After a lot of heat and
pressure, I turned into what I
am now, a metamorphic
rock.

After I erupted from a volcano, it took a very long time for me to cool and
harden from lava. Then I turned into a igneous rock

After going through a lot of heat and pressure, I turned into a
sedimentary rock.

After a lot of heat, pressure, weathering, and erosion, I turned into a
metamorphic rock.

When I was forming, I could most likely be found where the tectonic
plates meet.

I feel rough and a little squashed.

I have gone through another change! This time it is personal
development.. Now I have amazing hair! How cool is that?

This is also another change in what I looked like at the
beginning and end of the rock cycle.

I live on Kaziah’s desk in her office, and all over the house.
She found me outside on her trampoline. She took me
inside and wanted to use me to help about rock formations.
I am her assistant! She knows I have been through a lot in
my life, and she takes great care of me.
