THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MICHIGAN CITY

Organized in 1996, the Economic Development Corporation Michigan City (EDCMC) has assumed the lead
role in attracting new business to the Michigan City area, and in assisting existing business expansion
and a leadership role in major related community initiatives, including the Woodruff Business Park and
Brownfield redevelopment, among others. Because of its success, the EDCMC is positioned to nurture and generate
community leadership for the accomplishment of a consensus-built economic development strategy combining efforts of
many “partner” civic, private and public sector organizations which undertake economic development specific activities.
