Just like that we are off and running in 2021. All three courses are turning green after the rains.
Thanks so very much to everyone that has joined with Sioux Falls Golf and the City Courses and
making a commitment to golf with us this season. We know you have many options, and we
appreciate your support greatly. Every dollar you spend with us on property when you visit makes a
big difference to our bottom line. This commitment helps us provide a better experience for you and
allows us to keep prices competitive. We do our best each year to make improvements to what we
provide so we stay competitive, and your enjoyment and value is realized. Here is a short list of
Improvements that have been made or that are planned for 2021.

Already in Place:
• New (larger) cart fleet at Kuehn Park equipped with upgraded seats and over sized coolers and
windshields.
• New cart fleet at Prairie Green that feature better GPS, better seats, lithium battery powered
system and all the bells and whistles you could ever want.
• New POS system, online tee times portal, website that’s easier to use and efficient at all three
facilities.
• Renovated cart path on hole #7 at Prairie Green and other problem areas
Coming Soon:
• New bag racks and range equipment at Elmwood
• New patio canopy at Kuehn Park
• Additional cart paths and repairs at Prairie Green

Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you follow our emails on the Golf events and Leagues we have
planned for this year. The staff has put together some amazing & unique events you won’t want to
miss. We have competitive and fun events for EVERYONE. Don’t hesitate to get involved and active
with all we offer. If your new to golf please feel free to call me or staff and we can go over the options
and explain any questions you might have. The only things to remember in most and many cases is a
GHIN handicap is required so we can flight events and keep them fair and equitable for all abilities.
You can stop into the clubhouses anytime and make this purchase for the season.

I’ll end this month’s message with a Question. Have you played Kuehn Park recently? I have and let
me tell you. Its as good as any public track in town. I have asked many people this spring and I have
heard many “oh boy maybe ten years ago” statements. From the back tees it has plenty of challenge.
The three par 4’s are legitimate holes with plenty of length and challenge and the par 3’s has plenty of
challenge. Folks, it’s a par 32 NOT a par 3 course and if you’re looking to play 9 holes in well under 2
hours its your ticket. The conditions right now are as good as any of our courses and for that matter
in Sioux Falls. Give it a shot. You will be surprised. Tell the staff Justin sent you!

Cyclones! I have spent most of my 20 years in turf

management in the Western United States
managing courses in Nevada, the mountains of
Western Colorado and the Denver metro area. My
family relocated back to Sioux Falls in 2018. I am
married to my wife Nicole and I have two boys,
Cade 12 and Nash 10. I am a youth hockey coach for
the Sioux Falls Flyers and during the winter season
I enjoy maintaining our family's outdoor backyard
ice rink. I am excited to be at Elmwood and look
forward to seeing everyone out on the course.
