Out with the OLD and in with the NEW as we enter the year 2022 at Sioux Falls Golf. As we look
forward to a new golf season ahead, we look back at the wonderful year of 2021 that was filled with
many laughs, memories, and successes together. I wanted to take some time and talk about some of
last year’s highlights and touch on what to look forward to in 2022.

Last season was certainly busy as mother nature provided a longer, better golf season that
stretched from March through December. Lots of bonus golf as we say in South Dakota! This great
weather helped us climb over 100,000 consolidated rounds played at the City Courses for the first
time in a very long- time last season. This great round total was also achieved with 10-minute tee
times which we started a couple years ago during the pandemic to spread people out. As many of
you know or may not realize we have continued to operate all three courses with 10-minute tee
times to provide a better check in experience and pace of play on the course. This fact makes those
round totals even more impressive. We won't name names, but we did have a dozen people log over
125 rounds of golf. One gentleman cracked 200 for the season. The love of the golf is strong in Sioux
Falls and we are proud so many of you play with us.

We are extremely excited about next season which should be right around the corner. I wanted to
mention some new things and plans for the year ahead. We will be introducing Combo tees at both
Championship Courses. We realize that most everyone plays the gold tees around 6,100 yards and
this can be too short and too long for most people pending age and ability. We plan to create an
official combo tee on the card between the blue and gold tees for men and an additional combo
between gold and red for seniors and ladies. This should help everyone find a tee box and yardage
they can enjoy playing while helping pace of play. Elmwood will receive new golf cars with GPS in the
spring with all the bells and whistles. We have also increased the fleet size to accommodate more
riders which is a trend and need. We will continue to address cart path work and bunker work with
priorities at Prairie Green in 2022 potentially coming soon. Finally, Kuehn Park where we hope to
improve the practice facility with synthetic turf and supply new patio furniture to relax and enjoy
the views of the golf course.

We are also planning some new, fun events for 2022. This winter we have a Ladies Bingo Night and
a Trunk Show planned that will provide a terrific opportunity to look and purchase new apparel for
the upcoming season. This summer we will introduce some new ladies’ scrambles and a NEW MAJOR
Golf event at Kuehn Park. We will be holding a par three championship for men, women, and
seniors. Our goal is to show off how great Kuehn Park really is and find out who has the best short
game in Sioux Falls
and the surrounding area. Stay tuned on dates.
