2:30pm-5:30pm Mon-Thurs: Allowed in the 11am & 2:30pm time slots,
6:00pm-8:00pm limit 2 guests per family

GM MESSAGE

August 2020

Dear Members,

On behalf of the entire management team, we are excited
and looking forward to a great remainder of 2020!

First off, thank you to the membership for being so
welcoming as Landscapes Golf Management has now began
overseeing the daily operations of the club. I will be your
Area Manager, and Adam Brandow from LGM will be our
interim General Manager while a permanent GM is
determined. If you have any concerns or would like to learn
more about LGM, please contact Dustin or Adam.

As we begin this new partnership, LGM is working with the team at MCC in several specific areas of focus, including:
MCC Organizational Leadership
Business Development including both membership sales and event sales
Financial performance
Board and Member Communication
Service levels
Club Programming
Facility Capital Improvements and Safety

Several of these focus points have already been addressed including a new website currently being developed, the return
of the monthly newsletter as well as weekly dining features, and membership growth including 24 new members during
June and July. This is just the beginning, as the management team at Manhattan Country Club along with Landscapes
Golf Management are dedicated to deliver the member experience you deserve.

From the golf shop, Scott and his team completed a successful Member-Member tournament last week and are looking
forward to a great remaining golf season. The Men’s Member Guest will be held August 13th – 15th and promises to be a
great event. This will be followed by the Ladies Member-Member August 21st and 22nd.

In terms of the golf course, Mark McKain has been diligently working to combat the challenges on our putting greens due
to the unfortunate weather conditions of high temperatures, high humidity, excessive rainfall, and lack of air movement.
These challenges have resulted in a couple of different diseases affecting our greens. Mark has sent the soil samples to K-
State who along with LGM Director of Agronomy Steve Merkel confirmed the treatment plan Mark has in place. Mark has
raised the mowing height as part of his treatment plan. We appreciate your patience as we try to get our greens back to
a healthy condition and provide the best playing surfaces possible.

Maison Rickerd and Jacob Holmes have been busy in food and beverage. It has been great to see members enjoying
dinner and drinks, and we know things are only going to get better with the return of weekly specials, Prime Rib on Friday
nights, and several social events up and coming including the adult pool night on August 14th and family night on August
19th. Stay tuned for more details to come on the great happenings at the club.

COVID-19 Updates:
Our first and foremost concern is
the safety of our members and
staff. We want to do our best to
ensure we are providing a safe
place for everyone to enjoy. All
MCC staff members are required
to wear masks and are screened
daily upon arrival. Hand sanitizer
dispensers have been placed
around the club. There is
extensive pool cleaning protocols
in place including sanitizing
contact surfaces throughout the
day, staff wearing masks, and
maintaining social distancing.
We encourage everyone to
maintain social distancing during
this time.
