Dear Influencers,
Spring is in the air! Are you enjoying the warmer weather?
All the details from this month's Spring-themed contest can be found in this issue. We
also have some tips for posting content on Toluna and making the most of the
community discussions, as well as a recap of recent games.
As usual, look out for the secret contest - it's a little different this time, but super easy
to participate and win points!

NOTICE
CONTENT AND DISCUSSIONS
One of the reasons our our members log in to Toluna each day is to post and discuss
current news, events or anything of interest.
Recently, the Toluna Team has also
been posting more of these types
of content and you may have
noticed that the posts take on a
slightly different format. The
username that appears on the post
is just "Toluna" and unlike other
uesernames, it's not clickable. This
is normal, so don't be concerned -
you will still see the Toluna posts in
your "Recommended" feed, even
though you can't follow the
account. We'll highlight some of
these discussions later on in this
issue of the magazine.
As a side-note, if you want to post a Topic or Poll, please go ahead and start a discussion
with the community! You could receive bonus points for posting and even make it to our
list of top content creators each month.
Our team awards bonus points for content based on whether we think the posts are
interesting and engaging. While we know this is subjective, we try to be as fair as
possible to everyone. Here are some tips for posting content that will earn you points:

BOARD
1 Stick to Polls or Topics
While Thumb-Its & Battles are easy to post, we tend to
overlook these when it comes to awarding bonus point.
2 Avoid simple yes/no questions
Like Thumb-Its and Battles, these types of questions are less
likely to earn you points, unless they are super interesting!
3 Include an
image or video
Keep in mind that we sort through
thousands of posts each month, so
including an image or video will
make it more noticeable, and
increases the number of points you
could earn. There's even a
convenient search tool for you to
find the right image.
Be respectful of others
Everyone has an opinion about something, but there's no need to
4 antagonise other members or declare a flame war just because
you don't agree. Remember to follow our Member Code of
Conduct and don't post anything inappropriate or offensive.

NOVEMBER
TOLUNA SPRING FRENZY!
We think this time of year in the Southern Hemisphere is the best! The weather is
warming up and Spring is in the air! As Spring is also a time for rejuvenation, we want
to revitalize your Toluna points balance!
How to participate
Between 16-31 November, we'll post a series of sponsored polls about Springtime.
There will be 7 polls in total, each with "Toluna Spring Frenzy" in the title
Vote on each poll and earn 15 points instantly. However, you need to be quick as
they will appear at random times during the day and won’t be open for long.
Complete as many surveys as you can between 16-30 Nov. Your points balance will
naturally increase from this, but the more surveys you complete, the more bonus
points you could win.

Rules & Tips
Profile surveys on the Toluna website do not count - they are there to help us find the
surveys that are right for you. Be sure to keep the information in your profile surveys
up-to-date, in order to be eligible for more surveys.
Follow the TolunaTeamAUNZ account and check the “Recommended” feed regularly,
so you don’t miss any of the sponsored polls. You can also filter content by going to
the “Surveys” menu and selecting “Sponsored content”.
All polls will be posted and closed at random dates and times.
Winners will be announced and awarded by 14th December 2018.
Contest open only to members registered on Toluna’s New Zealand panel.

FUN &
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Toluna Food Slicer game via our Games
page. Those who landed at the top of the leaderboard have won between 1,000-10,000
based on the number of surveys completed during the contest period. As there were 50
winners in total, we won’t list them all, but here are the top 5 who have won 10,000
points each!

Congratulations to all winners!
We’ve had a positive response from the community regarding these games, and we're
working on some new games as we speak. In the meantime, you can still win 500
points through Luna's Slot Machine! Visit nz.toluna.com/games to play.

GAMES
HALLOWEEN 2018
Did you dress up for Halloween? This year on Toluna, we had a spooky Halloween game
where you could win between 40-500 points. Unfortunately it was only available for a
short period of time, but stay tuned on Toluna - Christmas is coming!
SECRET CONTEST
As we're talking about games, let's play Monopoly - Toluna style! Normally when you
land on a property in Monopoly, you would have to pay the landlord. However in this
version, we'll pay you (Toluna points) instead.
But there's a catch: We've mixed up the property values of the original London
Monopoly board*, and only we know what they're worth. Go to this post and simply tell
us which property you've landed on, and you'll get points based on our revised
valuations. Each property is worth between 60 to 500 points.
*See here for the property names. Before you all write Mayfair, note that because of our
mix up it's not necessarily the most valuable.
More rules are listed on the post. If the link does not open, copy this URL into your

We've also been posting polls about current news or things that matter to us. Here are
results from some of them...

are expecting a baby next year?
Not everyone likes the royal family, but they sure are in the news a lot! Did you catch
a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess when they were in town?

Some countries enforce compulsory military service, so we wanted to know how
Kiwis feel about this. Are you in the majority here?
