I love August as it always reminds me of going on
Holiday, hence the palm trees on the front cover.

LOS ANGELES

SAN FRANCISCO

"Travels with a schnauzer - or two. When I was made
redundant 5 years ago, at the ripe old age of 59 we decided
that, with careful counting of pennies and my money
management skills, we would retire and travel. At the time we
had one mini schnauzer but have since rescued a second and
they travel in our motor home with us where ever we go,
making friends and terrorising the local cats. Our eldest has
now got twelve stamps in his doggy passport and has been to
Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany (twice), France
(seven times) and Spain (five times). When on site we have
our bikes with a trailer on the back for the dogs and every

love it. We've just got back from the Ile de Ré just off La
Rochelle in France. What a beautiful, magical place, white
