GODSWILL CHIMA
GODSWILL CHIMA is self-taught. Furthermore, he majors in abstract works which he
believes deeply engages the mind as it seeks to decipher it, ironically heightens the
viewer’s sense of perception and carries nuances best expressed in subtlety. His
passion for art sees him admiring creators in general. He draws his inspiration from
everyday discussions on religion, love, politics, et al, as well as conversations touching
on clichés and stereotypes. Interestingly, as the outlier that he is, Chima considers his
art a channel to fearlessly challenge some widely held and generalized views.
Summarily, he oftentimes joins pressing conversations with his art.he night-time is
his favourite working-hour. He finds the creativity that comes at this time
unmatched; more so, as the hush that comes with it allows him best express his
independence of thought as a creator.

IMOMOH ASEMOKHA
IMOMOH ASEMOKHA's works are predominantly in the painting
and print media where he uses colours to communicate several
metaphorical allusions. His broad specter oeuvre spans across a
number of thematic range which seems to be borne from a certain
creative restiveness. His is a path rooted purely and guarded by
intuition, a path where he seems to constantly re-invent the self. This
perspective to work is reminiscent of a quest with characteristic
twists and turns but with the hope of always finding a surprise. The
artist has also executed a number of self styled graffiti into his body

OMOYENI AROGUNMATI
OMOYENI AROGUNMATI’s hatch lines allude to the demarcation of
access, suggesting the separation of people through physical borders
and walls and she also incorporates elements of minimalism and
abstraction to create an oeuvre that is distinctly current, and as witty as it
is macabre. In her recent body of work, Arogunmati’s abstractive and
expressive forms often illustrate the presence of women in the world
and the world around her. With painting at the centre of her practices,
Arogunmati often paints from memory merging bold colours with
figurative aspects. Other paintings depict the African woman against
dense red and purples of sunrise, with a sandy texture in the foreground.
Her portraits hope to elevate the presence of women, significantly in
places where they are not heard or seen. Omoyeni has participated in
several major exhibitions and some of her works are in private

Auchi Polytechnic Alumnus, from where he graduated with OND
(ordinary national diploma)in general art in 2011, and HND (higher

inspiration as a dependable source of subject materials for his art.
Dexterously, he renders his narrative chiefly in oil or acrylic
mediums which he employs nicely through the use of pallet knives
and generous application of colours as a style to capture the very
essence of the "fleeting moment." By his impressionistic manner of
rendition of colours, his works have brought him recognition as
they have been considered unique and refreshing in a time when
abstract and other paintings alike became rampant.

sculptor.
Ugbine's forte lies in woodcarvings and exquisite terracotta sculptures.
He manipulated the concave and convex within his figurative or mask

reality to thrill the beholder to a standstill and appreciate and ponder
about the complex nature of creativity.

seem to disclose the existence of various aspects of the Nigeria way of life.
