accept them. You will become a better person if you are honest.

continuous support and your contribution will dramatically
help us to develop and succeed in future endeavours. I’m
extremely grateful to the teachers and headmaster for the
incessant support given for the entire journey of SFYC even in
the current pandemic situations.

Thanks for motivating us for the past one decade and we hope
this love and support will continuously motivate us to
improvise more elements in terms of achieving our objectives
in near future.

Science Fair for Young Children, SFYC, is ASTI's biggest programme. It is a programme held annually among Tamil schools in
Malaysia to encourage and strengthen the learning of science among school children. Science Fair has been a platform and an
opportunity for young children to showcase their scientific knowledge and skills.

SFYC has been conducted continuously for the past 14 years and is currently conducted at 3 levels: which are the school, zone and
national levels. About 700 teachers are trained and about 50,000 participants take part in these events every year. These teams
have gone on to win international awards in Beijing, New York, Seoul, Jakarta, London and many other places. Generally, every year
about 70 teams are participating in international competitions and winning awards.

In 2020, after the Covid-19 outbreak, we launched Home Level/School Level Science Fair and Online Video and Poster Competition
for Zone Level and National Level Science Fair. We also conducted an online quiz for students to participate. More than 7000
students participated in this quiz. We had a total of 170 schools conducted Home Level/School Level Science Fair and 293 schools
from 9 zones participated in Zone Level Science Fair. 100 Schools were shortlisted for National Science Fair for Young Children 2020
Online Video Competition.

This year 2021, we continue with Home Based Science Fair, Online Video and Poster Competition for Zone Level and National Level
Science Fair. As of today, a total of 288 schools have completed Home Based Science Fair and 312 schools has submitted Video and
Poster for Zone Level Science Fair.

The Judging team had shortlisted 100 Schools to participate in the National Science Fair for Young Children 2021 Viva session. The
schools was interviewed by the Judging panel on 18 September and 25th September to determine the winners of National Science
Fair for Young Children 2021.
