THANKS TO YOU

2015 Annual Report
GRAND TRAVERSE BAY YMCA

Message from
our Chair & CEO

Dear community members,

Thanks to you, the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA has been able to
impact the lives of youth, adults, seniors and families in this
community. This year, more than ever, we’ve had the privilege
of connecting with our members, hearing their stories, and best of all, becoming part of those stories.

We’re proud to be able to share our successes with you in our 2015 annual report. Below we’ve highlighted
several of our most meaningful accomplishments in 2015.

1. Safety Around Water Program: We launched a swim initiative to keep kids safe around water. Read
more about this initiative on page 9.

2. Community need: The Y was able to help tens of thousands of people connect to each other through
youth programming, wellness programming and serving opportunities. These aspects have proven
essential to our community.

3. Connecting to the community: We partnered with Rotaries, Father Fred, Women’s Resource Center,
provided shelter and resources during winter and summer storms and finalized a collaboration to keep
the Civic Center Pool open.

We have an incredibly passionate and hardworking staff, but undoubtedly, it is the support of donors, partners
and members that allow us to carry out the powerful purpose we are here to fulfill in this community.

It is with gratitude and excitement that we share this year’s annual report with you.
