IC Notes

* MEWP Delivery Point 1. Roof access is for inspection & minor maintenance tasks only i.e. window and
gutter cleaning. Any other work is to be suitably risk assessed.

2. Operatives must always maintain 3 points of contact on roof access ladders.

3. Specialist maintenance sub-contractor to determine preferred SPB / MEWP for
the specific maintenance task in hand and to suit the building and site constraints.
For the purposes of this drawing, the following model has been assumed:
Self Propelled Boom (SPB) Spec:
(Based on NiftyLift HR21 2x4 20.8m Self Propelled)
Working Height - 20.8m
Unrestricted Working Outreach at 225kg - 12.8m
Width - 2.27m
Length - 6.7m
Stowed Height - 2.15m

4. Structural engineer to ensure all floor constructions are suitable for loadings of
MEWP's.

5. Structural Engineer & Landscape Architect to ensure all external ground
constructions are suitable for loadings of MEWP.

6. Landscape Architect to ensure MEWP access allowed for to full perimeter of
building. Refer to above machines technical specification for turning radius and
further machine info.

7. REFER TO MAINTENANCE & ACCESS STATEMENT FOR FURTHER
INFORMATION.

Legend

1. Window / door cleaning undertaken from floor level.
Conventional cleaning methods to be used within manual reach zone both internally
& externally. Water fed extendable pole to be used for high level glazing externally.
Indoor water fed extendable pole to be used for high level glazing internally.

2. Gutter / hoppers / vertical glazing to be cleaned from within MEWP cage. MEWP
to have sufficient out-reach to cantilever over building as necessary. Conventional
cleaning methods to be used within manual reach zone and/or water fed extendable
pole.

3. Rooflight to be cleaned from within MEWP cage with water fed extendable pole.
MEWP to have sufficient out-reach to cantilever over building as necessary. Internal
side of rooflight to be cleaned from first floor level with internal extendable water fed
pole.

4. Gutter accessed from first floor openable window / door. Level anti-slip walkways
provided along full length of gutters. Stepped anti-slip walkway provided up and over
ridge. Fall restraint system to full extent of walkways.
