Seneca AutoPay

Notice and guide for using Seneca's new AutoPay BillPay system.

AutoPay Available On Direct Billed Policies—Effective February 7, 2022
As you may be aware, Seneca currently offers direct billing to our policyholders.
Insureds electing direct bill have the option of paying by check or online through QuickPay at
www.senecainsurance.com.
Effective February 7, 2022, we are also offering the option for our insureds to set up AutoPay for their current
and future installments, whereby payments will be pulled directly from the insured’s bank account.
We recognize that some wholesalers and producers have a preference for account current billing, and that
option will remain for those who prefer to use it.
To get started, the process is simple:

1. Upon receipt of the direct bill, the insured will log into www.senecainsurance.com, and click on
the Pay Bill icon in the upper right corner.

2. The insured can either select QuickPay to make a one time payment, or register for AutoPay on
MySenecaAccount, which will allow for automatic payment of current and future installments.

An illustration of the screens and instructions are as follows:

Click on “Enroll in MySeneca”, enter the policy and policy start date, and agree to the Terms of Service.

After entry:
 Click YES to confirm your policy/account information.
 Enter your email address.
 Enter CONTINUE.

Choose a login ID & Password and hit CONTINUE:
 You will receive a confirmation email to verify your account.
 Go to your email and click the activation link to activate your account.
 Follow the prompt and click the link to log in to complete the enrollment and to choose how you
want to view and pay your invoices.

 Enter your payment information.
 Click BOTH authorization boxes to sign up for AutoPay. You will receive an email confirmation that

you have successfully signed up for AutoPay.
 To complete the process, you must make the first payment due on the Premium Notice you

received immediately. So click the button on the page to make this one time payment.

You are now set up for AutoPay. Automatic payments are triggered by the due dates on the policyholder’s
e-bill. You will receive an email notification when your next installment is due and it will be scheduled
accordingly. Note that you will still receive paper statements.
For Renewals, you must add additional accounts:

 In the left pane, click on Enroll Additional Accounts
 Enter the policy number and policy period start date
 Choose how you’d like to receive your invoice, and submit

System Features

Policyholder Self Enrollment – The policyholder sets up their email address. Once a policyholder receives
their first “premium due” notice in the mail, they can log onto Seneca’s website and begin the enrollment
process using their policy number and effective date as validation fields. The policyholder then enters a cur-
rent email address and confirms it by receiving an email and clicking on a link inside the e-mail message.

Bill Presentment – Web Browser - Our AutoPay system uses a PDF format to present e-bills. Any browser
that supports 128-bit or higher encryption and JavaScript is supported. This includes full-featured smart
phone browsers like Safari for Apple devices.

Bill Delivery Options - Our AutoPay system supports paperless billing by giving customers the option to ei-
ther have their full e-bill emailed to them, or they can elect to receive a brief bill summary with the ability to
download the bill from the secure web portal.

Automated Username/Password Retrieval - If a direct-bill policyholder forgets their username or password,
they can have a temporary password sent to the email address on file in Seneca’s AutoPay system.
