Course Maintenance

Golf Course Maintenance: MCO 2.0

KPGCC’s award-winning golf course is our
pride and joy, certainly an asset that adds
invaluable prestige to the club’s status as
one of the best not only in the country but
also in the region. In order to maintain the
quality of the golf course, standard
maintenance works need to be carried out,
even during the period of movement control
orders.

The most recent works included subsoil
drainage at Hole 8, irrigation maintenance,
and herbicide spraying on fairways.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping: Clubhouse & Buggies

The health and safety of members, guests
and staff are always of utmost importance
to KPGCC. In our relentless effort to curb the
spread of Covid-19, housekeeping duties
are continuously being carried out to
maintain the cleanliness within and around
the clubhouse, including draining and
cleaning both fountains at the main lobby;
deep-cleaning all hair and body lotion
dispensers, hoses and bottles; and cleaning
all bathrooms and toilets. The main lobby,
walkways and surrounding areas, including
golf and sports counters, are also cleaned,
along with halfway huts. Additionally, buggy
separators have also been installed for 104
buggies.

Covid-19 – Updates

KPGCC Staff Undergo Mandatory
RT-PCR Screening

Here at KPGCC, we are committed to ensuring
the health and well-being of all club patrons as
well as staff, so each KPGCC employee is
required to undergo mandatory screening tests
for Covid-19 every two weeks.

On January 15, 2021, between 9.30am and
12 noon, a Covid-19 RT-PCR screening was
conducted at the club’s Poolside Pavilion & Café
to ensure that all staff, including caddies, course
maintenance workers and cleaners, were in peak
health.

We would like to reassure members that this
is a necessary precaution for the well-being of
everyone at the club. As we continue to do our
part in the fight against the pandemic, we urge
everyone to wear your masks properly (keep it
on regardless of whether you’re speaking or
not), maintain high levels of personal hygiene
(wash and sanitise your hands frequently),
observe social distancing, and avoid crowded
areas.

DID YOU KNOW?

Kota Permai is home to a whole spectrum of flora and fauna, co-existing in perfect harmony.
Take some time to observe and appreciate these as you enjoy golfing on our course.

KPGCC is certainly a boon for nature lovers and seekers of
tranquility. Not only does it comprise an award-winning golf
course along with top-notch sporting and recreational
facilities, but it’s also a treasure trove of various types of
wildlife, along with fascinating species of shrubs, trees and
flowers.

One such species of tree is the yellow Saraca (Saraca
thaipingensis), which also goes by yellow ashoka, Handkerchief
Tree, Ghandhapushpa or Sorrowless – a tree that never mourns.

Native to Southeast asia, the tree is known locally as
‘Pokok Gapis’ or ‘Kapeh Beruk’, among others. The bright
apricot-yellow flowers (ie Saraca cauliflora), which resemble
big cauliflowers, appear on the trunk and bigger branches
sporadically every 3 to 4 weeks.

Though here in malaysia, the tree grows naturally along
river banks, nature lovers have the privilege of soaking in its
beauty right here at KPGCC!

Many golfers do not understand that there is a significant difference in our body, hand and club position in relation to our set-up and impact.
