Fun Return To Action In November Medal

The November 2021 Monthly Medal competition saw 120 Director Tang (L) with A Medal winner Kumaresan Murugayan
members taking to the fairways on November 14. Held on Ng Say Hoe (L) with B Medal winner Teng Seng Cheng

After a competitive round of golf, Kumaresan
Murugayan emerged as A Medal champion with 41
Stableford points, while Teng Seng Cheng claimed top
spot in the B Medal division with 38 points and Izz Al-Din
Bin Maslan scored 39 points to win the C Medal.

The Ladies Medal saw Ngo Yi Belle top the standings
with a score of 39 points. Lam Fai Meng meanwhile shot a
superb 76 to walk away as the Overall Gross Champion.

KPGCCC members continued to celebrate the return of
golf events by taking part in the Permai Classic held on
December 5, 2021.

No less than 120 members converged at our pristine
golf course on a sunny Sunday morning to test their skills
and enjoy a great round of golf in the popular strokeplay
event.

14-handicapper Ong Seng Wah carded a superb nett
66 to emerge as the 2021 Permai Classic champion, while
the Medal winners were Lam Kong Foo (Medal A), Goh
Tiong Hwee (Medal B), Phng Ching Liang (Medal C) and
Judy Kong (Ladies Medal).

Sports Wing Set To Be Upgraded

In KPGCC’s quest to continuously upgrade the
facilities and services for members, the club will
embark on an extensive renovation of the
Sports Wing.

The upgrading exercise is currently in its
tender stage and is expected to commence in
January 2022.

“KPGCC is always looking to improve our
facilities and this renovation of our Sports Wing
is timely as we upgraded our golf facilities a few
years back,” said KPGCC Assistant General
Manager Sheren Yong.

The exercise will see the upgrading of all
areas in the Sports Wing. The blueprint includes
a new registration counter and office, as well as
a new lobby façade and entrance.

Both the male and female sports changing
rooms will be renovated and upgraded, with
more bathrooms added to the male facility and
new steam rooms for both genders.

Last but not least, members will also enjoy a
new Sports Lounge with a stylish, relaxed
interior to complement the overall sports
theme.
