Chili Contest Rules

The Chili Contest will be held on the Saturday August 6, 2016 along with the
Blueberry Bake Off at the Academy Hill School Cafeteria. All entrees for the
contest must arrive between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

NO entrees will be admitted to the contest after 12:30 PM.
Chili should arrive in a Crock Pot. (or container that can keep the chili heated)

Electricity will be available.
There are 2 division in the Chili Contest:

~15 and under
Participants will be limited to one entree per category
Judging will begin at 1:00 PM.
All entrees will be judged on:

_ Originality
_ Appearance
_ Presentation
The judging is private. Participants may not speak with judges while
they are judging.
A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in each of the categories.
One BEST OF SHOW will be awarded for the Chili Contest.
1st Place / Ribbon and $15.00 Chamber Bucks
2nd Place / Ribbon and $10.00 Chamber Bucks

Prizes will be awarded by 3PM. Every effort will be made to have the prizes
announced in local news papers following the festival.

Blueberry Bake Off
The Blueberry Bake off will be held on the Saturday August 6, 2016 along with
the Chili Contest at the Academy Hill School Cafeteria. All entrees must arrive

There are 2 divisions in the Blueberry Bake Off

Each division has 4 categories:

(A total of no more then 4 entries per participant.)

L.L. Bean Outdoor Discovery School instructors will be
coming on Friday, August 5th to the 34th Wilton Blue-
berry Festival to teach fly casting at Kineowatha Park.
There is a pre-registration to make sure there at least
100 /150 people interested by July 10th. The classes will go
from 9AM-3PM every half hour. A max of twelve per
class. The cost is FREE. You may call Shannon Smith to
register at [email protected] or call 207-778-4726.
Any child 8 to 14 years old will have to have a responsible
adult present while they are casting.
15 to 17 year olds can cast without a responsible adult pre-
sent if the parent comes with them and fills out our waiver.

Sunday, August 7

11am - economical service, Wilton Congregational Church UCC.

2 p.m. - Rededication Service and Concert, Wilton Congregational
Church UCC. The pipe organ, installed in the church in 1920, has had
significant repairs in preparation for the church's 200th anniversary.
Come share our pride as the organ is rededicated then enjoy the
magnificent tones and learn more about the many stops which permit
the organist to produce a variety of instrumental sounds. Prior church
organists as well as other experienced professionals will take part. This
program will be a fitting way to conclude another successful Wilton
Blueberry Festival.
