NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION

HIGHWAY 6 (CENTRE STREET) PHASE 1 - RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
STATION ROAD TO SECOND AVENUE

Proposed Works
The Town of Espanola is proceeding with the reconstruction of Highway 6 (Centre Street) from
Station Road to Second Avenue. The project generally includes the replacement of granular base,
curbs, full depth asphalt, concrete sidewalk, watermain, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and upgrades
to the traffic signals at Second Avenue. The project is proceeding with funding from the Ministry of
Transportation – Connection Links Program for the road and drainage portion of the project. Some
traffic disruptions, staging and lane closure will be required during the construction of the project.

Proposed Schedule
The construction of the project has been awarded to Garson Pipe Contractors Limited while R.V.
Anderson Associates Limited will provide site inspection and contract administration services.
Construction is scheduled from June to November 2018. Final Asphalt and cleanup will be completed
in the summer of 2019.

Public Information Session
A project information session has been scheduled at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex. Staff
from the Town and R.V. Anderson Associates Limited will be available to address questions and
concerns regarding this project.
