GLAUCOMA
• It is the symptomatic condition where the
functional integrity of the eye is disturbed,
resulting in irreversible loss of visual field due
to persistent raised Intra Ocular Pressure
(IOP).
• IOP is exerted by the intraocular fluids on the
coats of the eyeball. The normal IOP is
between 10 to 20 mm Hg.

• The main aim of treatment of glaucoma is to
control the IOP.
