Sentek QuarterlyNewsletterMarch 2026
A Word from Managing Director Nick KtorisWelcome to the latest edition of Sentek’s newsletter.I am hopeful that this newsletter will play an important role in highlighting the excellent work being undertaken by our staff, dealers and partners. We encourage you to submit ideas for stories for future newsletters and to provide feedback on the content of the current newsletter. It has been a very busy time for Sentek as a number of events and initiatives have taken place in the last quarter which have been outlined below in the newsletter. We were honoured to have been involved in so many events with our dealers and partners and we would like to say a big thank you for allowing us to be part of your business, allowing us all the opportunity to provide a great product to our relevant communities.Water is our most precious resource and is a key component of the soil-water-plantatmosphere continuum. Sentek provides the tools of the trade to help our dealers to facilitate measured insights which are measured with our multi sensor capacitance probes, EnviroSCAN™ and Drill & Drop™ along with our new release Sentek’s Wi-Fi Link™ transmission unit and many other data transmission unit options. These insights are visualised in our IrriMAXplatform include and are not limited to the onset of water stress, permanent wilting point, soil water holding capacity, irrigation full and refill points, saturation and field capacity and the determination of effective root zone.Again, innovation like Sentek is so important so we can play our part in helping our clients save water which is critically important as agriculture accounts for 70% of water usage worldwide; about 40% of that is lost to the environment due to poor irrigation systems, evaporation, and overall poor water management.I would like to remind all that the Sentek ‘Learn’ platform can be found at https://senteklearning.talentlms.com/ and would encourage you to visit the site and take part in the amazing courses that are available.Along with our leadership team and the Board of Directors, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. I am consistently inspired by your efforts. Thank you for everything you have done and will do for Sentek. Enjoy reading the rest of the Sentek newsletter.

Irrigation Analysis visual update The visual representation of the Irrigation Analysis Event Detection has been simplified. The irrigation ellipse is coloured red, green or blue for underirrigation, optimal and over-irrigation respectively. Light grey represents absence of root activity at all depths. The depth divisions on the vertical axis are now proportional. Forward prediction improvement The dashed prediction line for soil water content is now calculated by choosing either a linear or an exponential equation to fit the most recent data following the last significant rise. The equation is used to predict water content one day in the future and the line is extended through that point. The old method simply used the steepest 24-hour downward slope found in the final 3 days.
Learning Platform UpdatesWi-Fi Link Installation Guide and Probe & App Configuration GuideThe installation guide for Sentek’s Wi-Fi Link™ has now been uploaded to the Sentek Learning Platform. Please take a moment to watch and review the guide, as it covers how the Wi-Fi Link™ pairs with the Drill & Drop™ probe and uploads data to IrriMAX Live™.
