The uptake of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes across manufacturing sectors is a precondition for Europe to address the defining challenges of our time. European companies are leaders in many of these technologies, enabling the transformation of industry in Europe and beyond. But global competition for leadership in a new net-zero industrial age is intensifying, and action is needed if we are to preserve and expand that lead.
