CREATE AN IN-ROOM PRESENTATIONS
In-Room presentations are a great way to deliver a fill presentation of your
product, service, or idea. Develop a Keynote (30 to 45 mins) that clearly explains
what you’re doing, and what you’re ready to receive next. Be sure to create time
for Q&A.
If your focus is raising capital, be sure to attend the Capital classes all week to
learn about the legal compliances of raising capital.
In-Room presentations are set up in your sleeping room. You can connect your
laptop computer to the large TV; be sure to bring an adapter and a remote.
Prepare invitation cards for your In-Room presentation before coming to the
forum. Communicate simply and clearly what you’re presenting and leave blank
spaces for room number, date, and time to fill in once you arrive and have your
schedule. (sample below) Then post your presentation card on the magnetic board
outside the ballroom for others to know about, as well as passing them out as
you’re networking.
You may choose to have snacks for your presentation. Popular items are chips and
dip, pizza, or wine and cheese. (always water)

TIP
Because of the way Innisbrook is set up it’s best to inform the members who want
to attend your in-room presentation to meet you in the foyer, and then shuttle over
to your room together.

SNAP

Super Networking Accelerates
Potential
One of the most important things
you’ll do this week is perfect your
“SNAP”.

A SNAP is a powerfully condensed
request that compels desired
results. The purpose is to be
crystal clear about what you need,
or want next for your business.

A SNAP is shared when you first meet someone. The conversation sounds something like “What are
you doing, and how may I help you?” You answer with a SNAP.

There’s more than one way to communicate a SNAP, with your objective being to appeal to the
majority, and not everyone.
- Meal Tables
- SNAP the Game

Meals are where you practice to perfect, with time for feedback and polishing.
SNAP on Tuesday and Saturday is about language only; no time for feedback.

CRAFTING YOUR SNAP
SNAP consist of 3 parts:
1) A powerful Statement that outlines the challenge/problem and size of market.
(opportunity, size of the market and/or the dollars involved)

2) What you do and how your stakeholders are going to benefit.
(profit and return on investment (ROI))

3) What are you ready to receive next.
This part is primarily about resources.
(team members, legal compliance, strategy, planning, branding, marketing etc.)

TIPS
SNAP(ing) for capital should happen later in the week. The first part of the week is about
building rapport and gaining clarity and certainty on what you need next in your business.

During the meal table include “credibility factors”, such as winning a Grammy, Emmy, Best Seller,
currently distributing worldwide, practiced in this area for 20+ years, etc.

The goal of crating a crisp SNAP is to collect useful See Me Cards to follow up on.

For SNAP on Tuesday and Saturday wear comfortable shoes.

| TOOLS |

SEE ME CARDS

See Me Cards are used to connect with each other and to pass on
connections.

You can find them located on the meal tables and in the general sessions.

Take a stack anytime and prepare them with your pre-printed labels or,
handwrite them legibly.

When someone SNAP’s either one of two things will happen:
1) Give or receive a See Me card based off what solution can be provided
or 2) Say “I’ll scout for you”. This means you don’t have a solution, but you’ll introduce a potential
solution if you come across an opportunity that might be a solution. You’ll be amazed at how you’ll
remember everyone’s projects throughout the week!

It’s important to fill in the appropriate option:

a) I am your solution. You can help the person directly.
b) I have influence on. You know someone and make a direct connection.
c) I have access to. You have the ability to connect to a 3rd party to make a connection.

* Be sure to make a note as to what the solution may be, as a reminder for when you connect later.

There is a “priority” box on the cards; these are cards you’ll want to follow up with during the week.

Give and receive the cards wisely. Take each other’s projects seriously and don’t give cards to give
false hope - allow the right solutions to show up for each other.

LABELS
We recommend printing labels with your headshot and contact information for your See Me Cards. Its
makes it easier to read, identify you, and saves you time hand writing the information.

You have the option to order labels at class with your headshot; the cost is $50 for 140 labels.

CLASS DIRECTORY
A Class Directory is compiled for each forum. It’s an important reference tool for when you return
home. The cost is $48.

When you arrive, go to the Directory Room where you’ll enter your contact information as well as
what your business is, and what you’re looking for next. (near registration)

The Directory Room is open Tuesday to Wednesday.

You can bring a headshot with you on a thumb drive, or have one taken.

6 ‘Can’t Miss’ Conferences For Entrepreneurs In 2018

... This is an unofficial list I’ve created on the basis of quality of attendees, avoidance of hard selling,
social responsibility, and positive results for those who’ve attended...
On these notes, my picks are as follows:
1. CEO Space. Now in its 30th year, this event is billed as a business growth accelerator conference.
It addresses entrepreneurs of all ages at its five annual 5-day events, located from December 2017
forward at the Innisbrook Resort in Tampa, Fla. Traditionally, the benefits of CEO Space have included
Total Capital Education on topics ranging from legal compliance to investor presentations, tax and
strategic planning, marketing, branding, social media and sales. All presenting faculty members are
vetted for verification as Subject Matter Experts through a due diligence process conducted by
Avent-Guard.com. Moving into 2018, however, the organization is stepping up its game to another
arena. In an interview with CEO September Dohrmann, she highlighted the following milestones for
2018:
CEO September Dohrmann and Founder Berny Dohrmann are the husband and wife team behind
CEO Space International.
The institution of a new board and re-vamped club president and sales programs that the company
anticipates will result in 400 percent community growth in 2018.
A new online directory and Membership App increases members’ ability to network between forums.
New members and initiatives in arenas that include cryptocurrency, nano-treated coal for clean
energy, hydrogen energy, super water for better hydration and a spectrum of medical innovations.
Additional financing sponsors and partners.
Increasing strength as an advocate for entrepreneurs and small business to the Federal Government
in support of crowdfunding, tax legislation and political cooperation towards business.
An increasing faculty with new experts in branding, marketing, media, publishing and social media.
As a networking forum for partnerships, steadily increasing representation from strong and profitable
companies and faculty members who are at the top of their games.
Says founder Berny Dohrmann: “When business owners come together in cooperation, business
accelerates like nothing else in the world.”

7 Can’t-Miss Business Conferences for 2017

In these days of endless virtual meetings, there’s nothing like going to a great live event
with other living, breathing human beings. Here are my top picks.

Would you gag if I told you that I’m going to several conferences next year?

Well, that just means you aren’t going to the right ones. As the year bends toward its end, you should
be thinking about how you’re going to grow yourself and your business in 2017. Attending a quality
conference can help.

So, how do you avoid the conferences that make you gag and only go to the ones that make you
great? Here are the three main criteria I use when picking events to attend, followed by seven I
wholeheartedly recommend that you consider for 2017:

The Content - I want a conference with highly valuable, actionable content based on a sound
curriculum, regardless of whether it’s coming from the speakers, networking, breakouts, or any other
aspect of the program. Teach me something I don’t know and that I can use.

The People - There’s such a thing as “quality attendees.” These are people who show up with an open
mind and an open heart. They want to learn. They want to teach. They want to help each other grow.
When a conference brings together the right audience, everyone in it benefits.

The Non-Pitch - Have you ever been to a conference where one speaker after another pitched his
or her wares? It’s like watching a series of infomercials with each sage on the stage finishing with an
urgent, compelling offer to sprint to the back of the room with your credit card. These “pitchfests,”
as they’re commonly called, quite literally turn my stomach. I remember one conference where the
speaker told the audience we were “doomed” if we didn’t sign up to take his program. Needless to
say, I didn’t bite. And obviously I lived to tell the tale.

The conferences on my list are not pitchfests. They are content rich with a real focus on applicable
knowledge and education. The folks in the crowd with you are also there to learn, network, and
try new things. So, with those criteria in mind, here, in no particular order, are seven conferences I
recommend for 2017...

CEO Space
This is a great place to incubate ideas. Years ago, Jack Canfield came to one of these events and
floated an idea. You might know it as Chicken Soup for the Soul. CEO Space has evolved into an
advanced cooperative networking organization. It brings together entrepreneurs and investors from
all areas of business. There are four or five forums a year. (Full disclosure: I may speak at one of their
events or join their faculty in 2017.) ...

7 ‘Can’t Miss’ Conferences For Entrepreneurs in 2017

This is the third annual appearance of this column, which ranked as two of my most popular postings
in 2016 and 2015.

Today I am providing my list of the top “hidden gem” networking and educational events in 2017 for
entrepreneurs. I have made these picks with an eye toward high networking and learning benefits for
entrepreneurs who are looking for great mentors, new funding and innovative ideas for PR.

This is an unofficial list I’ve created on the basis of quality of attendees, avoidance of hard selling,
social responsibility, and positive results for those who’ve attended. I have personally attended and
spoken at the first two of these events, and as disclosure, I serve in an unpaid role as a faculty member
for the first event listed, CEO Space. Events 5 and 6, the Gathering of Games and Small Giants, have
come to my attention on the recommendation of the channel producers for Entrepreneurs. Event 7,
entering the 2017 list as an honorable mention, is a small and focused new conference that will be
premiering in Atlanta on February 22-24.

On these notes, my choices are as follows:
1) CEO Space. Now in its 29th year, this event is billed as a business growth accelerator conference.
It addresses entrepreneurs of all ages at its five annual 5-day events, now moved since mid 2016
from Las Vegas to Orlando, Florida. In 2017, the July event will include a YEP! (Young Entrepreneur
Program) that will coincide with its August 1-5 event.

Benefits of CEO Space include sessions on Total Capital Education from legal Compliance, to how
to do an investor presentation, legal, tax, strategic planning sequencing, marketing, branding, social
media and sales. Additional topics include leadership, team development, contract law, IP law,
business finance, business planning, and non-profits. The event is known for educating entrepreneurs
on success in traditional funding as well, with several billion dollars in successful funding occurring
at the event itself over the years. All faculty members are vetted for verification as Subject Matter
Experts through a due diligence process conducted by Avent-Guard.com. Says founder Berny
Dohrmann: “When business owners come together in cooperation, business accelerates like nothing
else in the world.”

The Top Entrepreneur Conferences to Check Out in 2017

Conferences attract plenty of people who are doing the same thing, and once you accept
that, you’ll probably discover that going to events for entrepreneurs is one of the most
helpful things you can do for your business.

I remember my first conference well. It was like I was the new kid in school, except no one introduced
me or showed me around. I felt kind of like a loner and was pretty intimidated by so many other
entrepreneurs and leaders who seemed to know exactly what they were doing.
As an entrepreneur, conferences can be hard. You really just have to put yourself out there and be
willing to strike up conversations with just about anyone. But what you’ll realize, like I did, is that
you aren’t alone. Conferences attract plenty of people who are doing the same thing, and once you
accept that, you’ll probably discover that going to events for entrepreneurs is one of the most helpful
things you can do for your business.
These kinds of events help you find the leaders in your industry, share insight into industry trends, and
arm you with the tools and knowledge you need to lead a fast-growing business. So whether you’re
looking for your first conference or you’re a little more experienced, these events for entrepreneurs
should be on your radar this year: ...
9. CEO Space, March 13-17 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida
This business growth accelerator conference boasts the world’s central impetus for cooperative
capitalism. It speaks to entrepreneurs of all ages, including teenagers, andincludes sessions on
strategic planning sequencing, legal, marketing, tax, social media, branding, and sales. The organization
includes advocates for crowdfunding and provides high-level mentorship for participating members.
The event is known for assisting entrepreneurs with traditional funding as well. ...

5 ‘Can’t Miss’ Conferences For Entrepreneurs In 2016

Where will entrepreneurs spend their networking and educational time in 2016? Today I’m following
up on one of my most read columns of 2015 with an update to my list of recommended events
in 2016 for entrepreneurs. I have selected these picks with an eye toward high networking and
learning benefits for entrepreneurs who are looking for connections to top mentors, new funding
and innovative ideas for PR.
This is an unofficial list I compiled on the basis of quality of attendees, avoidance of hard sell platforms,
social responsibility missions, and positive results for those who’ve attended. I attended all but one
of these events, the NextGen Summit, in 2015. As disclosure, I serve in an unpaid role as a faculty
member for one of the events I’ve listed, CEO Space.
On that note, my choices are as follows:
1) CEO Space. Now in its 28th year, this event is billed as a business growth accelerator conference
and touts itself as the world’s central catalyst for Cooperative Capitalism, which I have written about
in this column before. It addresses entrepreneurs of all ages, including teens at its five annual week-
long events in Lake Las Vegas, in Henderson, Nev.
Benefits of CEO Space include sessions on legal, tax, strategic planning sequencing, marketing,
branding, social media and sales. The organization includes high-power advocates for crowdfund
investing (several advisors are former members of the SEC) and provides high-level mentorship for
participating members. The event is known for assisting entrepreneurs with traditional funding as
well, with several billion dollars in successful funding occurring at the event itself over the years.
All faculty members are vetted for professionalism and accountability through a due diligence
process led by Avent-Guard.com. In 2016, the program will include “strategy intensive” events
between forums. Says attendee R. Perez, who attended the December 2015 event, “This is a must if
you want to take your business to the next level.”
Says founder Berny Dohrmann: “When business owners get together to work in cooperation, business
accelerates and it’s like nothing else in the world.” ...

Top 5 Must-Attend Rapid Growth
Entrepreneur Conferences This Spring

Discover tech savvy action-oriented events that can move your business forward now

Spring is packed with business conferences and while I was attending one, I kept seeing many
colleagues posting from another event spanning the same days. Feeling like missing out and torn
between deciding which ones are better, you might have to decide your own priorities in choosing
which conference will yield a better return on investment for your money and your time.
The criteria used here to select Spring 2016 picks for the Top 5 Must-Attend Rapid Growth Conferences
is simply that conferences must have the following characteristics.
Be packed with action-oriented workshops and seminars that are not sales pitches from the floor
disguised as a workshop. They must be full of free content that is useful to building a strong business
that can accelerate your growth quickly.
Be run by great people with strong desires to serve entrepreneurs, help build successful businesses
and out to build a community support system. They are in it for you first. Creating raving fans that
sell out their next conference for them is a priority.
Exposes you to people, services and tools at all business stages and budget levels. It is less important
to attract a high-caliber keynote speaker then it is to attract quality members to build a network of
great associations. ...
CEO Space International - Forum May 15-22 - Henderson, NV
Words really can’t describe the benefits of exclusive membership but you can start with a free local
meeting in between their five yearly forums and experience the immediate results and connection
value. CEO September Dohrmann has done an exceptional job of shifting what was already a
tremendously beneficial program, founded by her husband Berny Dorhmann, to an organization full
of action, accountability and fresh perspectives on every business challenge imaginable at any stage
of business growth. There is something for seasoned business pros and start-ups alike and their free
bonus classes for life allow graduate members to continuously pivot and learn. The roster of rotating
faculty reads like a who’s who of business success. ...
