Pythagoras
Pythagoras was a guy that made a
theory over 2,000 years ago about
triangles. The theory was called the
Pythagorean Theorem. It is a
fundamental relation in geometry
among three sides of a right triangle. It
states that squares of hypotenuse are
equal to the sum of squares of two sides.
Architecture
Phidias – Phidias was a Greek sculptor, painter, and
architect. He helped build The Parthenon in the 5th
century BC. He also built one of the Seven Wonders
of the World of the Ancient World.
Ictinus and Callicrates – They were Greek architects
in the mid-5th century BC. They helped create The
Parthenon which was a building whom the people
of Athens considered their patron.
Poetry
In Ancient Greece poetry was very
important them. One of the classic
poems in Greece was The Odyssey by
Homer. Homer was a Greek poet that
wrote The Odyssey which was a poem
about the Trojan War. The poem was
written in 650 B.C.
