BEM, ETAC & ACCREDITATION


BEM Lembaga Jurutera Malaysia atau Board Of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) merupakan sebuah badan yang mendaftarkan pemeriksa kerja, ahli teknologi kejuruteraan, jurutera siswazah, dan jurutera profesional di bawah Pendaftaran Akta Jurutera 1967 (pindaan 2015). Pra-syarat untuk pemeriksa pendaftaran bagi kerja, ahli teknologi kejuruteraan dan jurutera siswazah adalah sebarang kelayakan akademik dalam kejuruteraan mesti yang diiktiraf oleh BEM. Oleh itu BEM mempunyai kewajipan untuk memastikan bahawa kualiti kejuruteraan, kejuruteraan teknologi, dan program pendidikan juruteknik kejuruteraan yang didaftarkan oleh jurutera, ahli teknologi kejuruteraan dan juruteknik kejuruteraan/pemeriksa kerja mencapai standard minimum yang setanding dengan amalan global. Oleh itu keperluan untuk akreditasi kejuruteraan, teknologi kejuruteraan dan pendidikan juruteknik kejuruteraan programyang dijalankan di Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi (IPT).


BEM The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) traditionally registers graduates and professional engineers under the Registration of Engineers (Amendment) Act 2007. The pre-requisite for registration as a graduate engineer is any qualification in engineering recognised by the Board. BEM is also in the process of registering engineering technologists who are also important stakeholders within the engineering workforce. The BEM therefore has a duty to ensure that the quality of engineering technology education/programme of its registered technologists attains the minimum standard comparable to global practice. Hence the necessity to accredit engineering technology programmes conducted in IHLs.


ETAC Majlis Akreditasi Teknologi Kejuruteraan (ETAC) ialah badan yang diwakilkan oleh BEM untuk pentauliahan ijazah teknologi kejuruteraan dan juruteknik kejuruteraan kelayakan. ETAC ditubuhkan pada awal 2015 bertindak sebagai badan akreditasi yang diiktiraf untuk program ijazah sarjana muda teknologi kejuruteraan, diploma kejuruteraan dan diploma teknologi kejuruteraan yang ditawarkan di Malaysia. ETAC terdiri daripada wakil daripada BEM, yang dipelajari berkaitan pertubuhan, Kementerian berkaitan, agensi kerajaan berkaitan, majikan industri bagi Juruteknik Kejuruteraan dan Juruteknik Kejuruteraan di Malaysia, dan wakil orang ramai.


ETAC The Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) is a delegated body by the BEM for the accreditation of engineering technology degrees and the qualification of engineering technicians. The Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) is the body delegated by BEM ETAC was established in early 2015 to act as the recognized accrediting body for engineering technology bachelor degree, engineering diploma and engineering technology diploma programmes offered in Malaysia. ETAC consists of representatives from BEM, learned relevant organisations, relevant Ministries, relevant government agencies, industry employers for Engineering Technicians and Engineering Technicians in Malaysia, and representatives of the public.

Affective (A) Pengetahuan / Intelek Cognitive (C) Psychomotor (P) Kemahiran Fizikal Sikap / Nilai OUTCOME-BASED EDUCATION (OBE) Pendidikan Berasaskan Hasil (OBE) adalah proses pembelajaran yang memfokus kepada hasil pembelajaran (learning outcome); iaitu pengetahuan, kemahiran dan nilai untuk dicapai oleh setiap pelajar sebelum dan selepas tamat pengajian.
