to You and who supported our raffle by purchasing tickets or made
Your Family a donation towards it. We will be able to continue our
support for some of the community programs that we
annually support and we look forward to next year
when fundraising events will hopefully resume with
some normalcy and we can continue to support
additional community based programs. On November
7 thru 11th, the Exchange Club in partnership with the
Boy Scout Troop 230, we will once again have a
Weekend of Remembrance on the Wolcott Town Green.
American Flags will be on display and flags can be
purchased in honor of or remembrance of a veteran.
For additional information contact Al Podzunas at

Club participated in the National Day of Service project
with the National Exchange Club. The Exchange Club
members purchased and donated 1,000 glow necklaces
to the Wolcott Police Department for the Halloween
Trick or Treaters. These necklaces will improve
the visibility of the trick or treaters for motorists as
the kids walk from house to house on Halloween night.

11/11, at 11:00 AM. The Junior Women’s Club of Wolcott Center
is sponsoring our 33rd Annual Toys for Tots and Teens Pro-
gram for Wolcott families. This project is requiring com-
munity effort as we work through cooperation, contribution
and co-ordination of schools, churches, businesses, service
organizations and volunteers, as well as incorporating all
the safety protocols of the COVID 19. We work diligently
to give assistance to Wolcott families facing difficult times
and hopefully bring a little joy into their homes during this
Christmas Season. Last year 18 families; 23 children and
15 Teens benefited directly from this program.

We have never been able to do this project alone. All toys
must be new and unwrapped, because every child deserves
a new toy under the Christmas tree. Look for our donation
boxes at our Wolcott business locations. Letters have been
mailed to businesses and organizations seeking monetary
donations. All monetary donations will help us provide
gift cards for teenage siblings. Each year we try to provide
the teens with gift cards so they can do their own shopping.
Donations should be sent to: Junior Women’s Club of Wol-
cott, PO Box 6116, Wolcott CT 06716. We are very thank-
ful to everyone who has supported this program in the past
and hope the town’s generosity will continue again this
year. An application will be included at the bottom of this
article. Applications must be returned by 12/5 and com-
pleted by all families requesting help.

The Junior Women’s Club of Wolcott meets the 1st Wed-

the age of 18, who are interested in doing volunteer work

Focus On Frisbie

We are overjoyed to have the students back
at Frisbie School. The Frisbie staff
members have worked very hard to ensure our
learning spaces are safe and healthy for all students.
We have established a strong cohorting model,
mask breaks are provided to students in large spaces

where a six feet distance can be achieved,
and students use barriers at lunch. Staff and student

safety continues to be our number one priority.
A big thank you to the Frisbie community

for their patience and flexibility as we navigate
this new world of education.
