Spaying or neutering: Sterilizing your pet prevents a host
of health problems, including complicated pregnancies, and
reduces the number of homeless animals.

Healthy Food without By-Products: Two connected ele-
ments of responsible pet ownership include providing
animals with fresh, cool water and healthy food at all times.
The right pet food will enrich your buddy's life, providing
them with the energy and nutrients they need.

At Home Care: Brushing teeth, combing their coats and

Comfy Quarters: When seasons change rearrange your
living space to make sure you are providing a safe cozy
habitat. If pet beds look flat buy new ones. If you need a
new litter box buy one. Make sure there are no potential
hazards, unsafe toys, exposed cords or wires. Secure safety
gates, repair loose screens & remove any poisonous plants.

Training & Socializing: Ensuring your pet is well trained
and socialized makes for a happy pet and pet parent.

Farmingbury
Women’s Club News

Well after a wonderful month of October, we
look forward to the beginning of our Holiday
season, but before we do, I would just
like to thank Karen Mowad, for
chairing the Breast Cancer event, which was
held on October 6. Also to thank our speakers for
giving up their time to share their knowledge with us.
Dr. Sookhan informed us on the latest developments with
cancer research. Our very own Mayor Tom Dunn spoke
words of encouragement for all who attended. Rosa Lund,
a Breast Cancer survivor, who placed the Breast Cancer
wreath in the Town Hall Chambers. Dawn Laliberte, a
Breast Cancer survivor who shared her story of how she
was diagnosed at a very early age and her determination to
win the fight of cancer. A true warrior.

Thank you to the Fall Festival committee who gave endless
hours of their own time to bring a new event to us.

We look forward to our Pot Luck Dinner which will be
held in November.

If you would like to join our Farmingbury Women’s Club,
our membership is always open to you. We are a
Community based organization. For more information on
membership, please contact our membership chairperson,
Karen Mowad.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone
a very Happy Thanksgiving. Take care and stay safe.

The funeral services of Mr. Robert Cordeau ended at his final resting place, Edgewood Cemetery with full military
honors afforded to him. Both he and his wife Claire, passed away together on August 19, 2022 and their cremains were

joined in the business by his sons Robert and Ron. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

The Build A Scarecrow event, developed by Wolcott Police
Officer Jeff Bender, took place recently and as you drive
