Students’ Council 2015-16
The Student Council of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is a body of elected students which, on
behalf of the en re college, establishes a link between the students and the administra on of the
college. For the year 2015-16 , it was represented by :

● Abimanyu Pratap Singh Chavan (Vice president)
The student council is an integral part of the university’s educa onal environment, providing s mula ng
programs, services and facili es for the community. It affords the opportunity for informal associa on
outside the classroom.
The student council of DCAC provides maximum opportunity for self-realiza on and individual growth. It
enriches campus life and the educa onal process by providing cultural, social, recrea onal and
intellectual experiences which students can share with faculty, staff, alumni and guests. Students are the
number one priority.
Through its various student organiza ons, the student council advisory board and staff, the student
council serves to enhance the intellectual program of the university and make ac vi es a coopera ve
factor with educa on. From organising the college fes val AMBROSIA and all other cultural ac vi es
throughout the year, the students council of DCAC has been relessly working for its students.
The council of DCAC offers a variety of programs, ac vi es, services and facili es that, when taken
together, represent a well-considered plan for the community life of the college. This council is an
integral part of the educa onal mission of the college.
The council of DCAC is a student-centered organiza on that values par cipatory decision making. In
all its processes, The Students' council encourages self-directed ac vity, giving maximum opportunity
for self-realiza on and for growth in individual social competency and group effec veness.
Tradi onally considered the council living room of the campus, today council is the gathering place of the
college. The council provides services and conveniences that members of the college community need in
their daily lives and creates an environment for ge ng to know and understand others through formal
and informal associa ons.
The council serves as a unifying force that honours each individual and values diversity. The council
fosters a sense of community that cul vates enduring loyalty to the college.

The Eternal Shakespeare m
work, you are struck with volleying ques ons
unleashed by your very brain and that make you
ques on the very purpose of life itself.
Hamlet's soliloquy, “To be or not to be - that is
the ques on”, captures the essence of his
journey from his ini al confronta on with a
dead man's ghost to the final bloodbath. The
point of this line being that if we all have to die
eventually then does it ma er who kills us and
when? Essen ally Hamlet is asking if people
should exist or not. This is just a ny part of this
play. There is a lot more to Hamlet than this
famous soliloquy.
Shakespeare's work is immortal. It's a gi to Since me immemorial Shakespeare has been
