Kollel of Greater Boston - 31st Anniversary Banquet

All Pages Final (1)

In honor of

RABBI YAAKOV BIER

A Friend

50

With overwhelming gratitude to ‫השם‬
‫ יתברך‬for gifting me, a survivor of Nazi
Germany, with a family steeped in Torah
values, selflessly dedicated to Klal Yisroel
and who care for me with heartfelt love

and extraordinary dedication.

With gratitude to the wonderful Boston
Jewish community, whose warmth, caring

and compassion has made an indelible
impression.

May we share many more simchas.

Mrs. Gabriele Davis

51

Alex and Masha Sherman

55

Thank you so much

RABBI BIER

for your incredible impact on me as a human
being. You have helped teach me what it means
to live a good life, and how to think about work,

philosophy, family, and more. A focus on
appreciation has become a focal point of who I
am. Although I knew of appreciation, you helped
me have the ''a ha" moment. You have helped me
become a more positive person, more mature, and

happier.
Thank you for constantly inspiring me.

In honor of
our mother

MELISSA BELLEHSEN

for always inspiring us and particularly this
year by leading through example and

encouraging me to make time to learn and
attend classes during our busy and
challenging weeks.

Alex, Dan, Ze'ev, and Shai Bellehsen

TO RABBI BIER,

Thank you for teaching me the concept of
Emunah, ‫ה‬‫אמו‬. Translated as faith doesn't do

full justice!
Emunah is the inspiring idea that the Almighty
creates each person as a unique individual who
has the oportunity to accomplish for the world

what only they can do. He therefore has a
personal vested interest in every human.
In difficult times this idea gives me comfort,

strength, and determination.

A Grateful Student

DEAREST OMA,

We are forever grateful to you for instilling in us the
foundation that has helped and will continue to help shape us

into true bnei torah.

But more so, we wanted to thank you for all the indelible
memories you have given us. We will always remember the

warm Shabbosim you spent with us, fun trips to Target,
superb homemade mandelbrot, yummy challahs and fruit
soup, late-night outings to Dunkin Donuts, delicious dinners
at restaurants in Elizabeth, visiting you at the Nursing
Home you managed for so many years and so many more!

There are no words that can adequately express our
appreciation for all you have given and continue to give to
us, our parents and grandparents. You exemplify a constant
perseverance and innate desire to always do what is right
and we dream that we can emulate you and continue passing

these traits on to the future generations.

We are so lucky to have you as our grandmother and we
hope to continue making you proud!

With much love,
Yehuda, Tova, Yaakov, Aron, Menachem and Ezra Yurowitz
