_- 3 ove is a vast topic. Everyone has a different definition and

*-_ perspective about love. But, the greatest kind of love revealed in
.¥. -|‘ ?; . ; _| ° the Bible is the “agape” kind of love. This kind of love has no

t} | Jesus Christ - who died on the cross of Calvary - to redeem mankind

\ from our sins.

ieel The Greatest Commandment is to “Love the Lord your God with all
~~ your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and
¢ with will all your mind.” (Luke 10:27) This is our Mandate! This
fan "| means to love God with our entire being; to love Him with every beat of
ri ; : our hearts. He must be our utmost desire and our hearts should only
: yearn for Him. We must be focused on loving Him and must be
™A= ts] ». | preoccupied only by His will in our lives. We must live for God in
complete surrender - to make Him the highest priority in our lives.

But, how can this be possible? Loving God with our own strength and
a Be: ns Jra. , J | abilities is impossible without first understanding and experiencing

His love for us. And this requires genuine humility. By admitting that
sra we are not worthy before Him, admitting that we are sinners and we
| need His forgiveness, and through genuine humility before the grace of
“Hl J -| God can we truly grasp the meaning of God’s amazing love. Moreover,
t. } -| ‘ , this love can only be experienced through Jesus Christ. Once we have
f | experienced this genuine love of God, then we can truly know what it
’ a =43 | means to love unconditionally.

The proof of our love for God is witnessed in our obedience to His Word.

| Jesus exemplified this first by His obedience to the Father. He humbled
Himself and became man like us: “Who, being in very nature God, did
not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made

himself nothing, taking the very nature of servant, being made in

buman likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he
humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death ona
eross.” (Philippians 2:6-8)

Fi’ -- Jesus suffered and died for the penalty of our sins. He obeyed the will
£\! of God for the sake of our salvation. Likewise, we can demonstrate our
: love for Goa through our genuine obedience to His Word. Jesus said, “If
-cea >£ you love me, you will obey my commandments.” (John 14:15)

©sl| CSUOBMICMBAUYNITY If we say we love God, we must obey His commands. We must trust His
is ~~ | promises for us. We must apply the Word of God in our lives. Our
wt genuine love for God is manifested through our devotion and obedience
* to His Word no matter what it may cost.

; 77; This Christmas season, let us remember that God loved us first. He
taught us how to love by allowing us to experience His forgiveness.
OF FAITH Jesus wants us to extend this love toward others, not only by loving
those who love us, but also by loving the unlovable; by forgiving those
DEVELOPING DYNAMIC DISCIPLES
Newho have sinned against us; and by loving others as God loves them.

Let us LOVE LIKE JESUS!

\ The Matain Women's Christmas party held at Project Life, Barretto was

_I packed with over 60 participants all eager to hear the word of God and

ae fawake celebrate the life of Jesus. From the uplifting praise and worship, the

—ud insightful message by Pastor Mau, to the fun-filled games that filled the

fF room with laughter, it was truly a celebration for the ages! The event was | _ Cl‘

capped off with a healthy lunch to-go and a goodie bag filled with canned }

goods, spaghetti packs, and crackers - allof which came from donations and

church funds. The volunteers gathered for a private communion afterward ¥.

and reflected on the event. Feeding the poor and catering to their needs ||aos

does not define Christianity - it's part of it! This ministry isn't confined to one \i

seasona year. Itis a continuous relationship that has been bounded by God's :

grace and fueled by His love!

OLD CABALAN CHRISTMAS OUTREAC

, We would like to thank everyone who contributed to make the Christmas
”} sy Celebration of our Old Cabalan Kids truly an “ear to ear” smiling and joyful
| occasion for the wonderful children and their parents! The celebration went
magnificently, from Firewall leading the Christmas sing-a-longs, the

heartfelt puppet show presented by the teachers of Kids Hub, the games,
the giveaways, and finally to our surprise guest, the bee with the most.
Jollibee himself! Armed with an original Jolli-dance number, Jollibee
brought cheers and joy to the crowd, many of whom never had the
experience of eating Chicken Joy, let alone hang out with Jollibee while
taking selfies! It was truly a heartwarming experience to behold! Seeing Jaki
hold Jollibee so tightly in his arms, tears glistening in his eyes, saiditall Just
half kidding about Jaki.)
