eo PERSON TO PERSON
| "GRACE TO GRACE"
, ([have been really appreciating lately the song entitled, "Grace
To Grace” by Hillsong Worship. It inspired me to reflect and
| wonder about the time God’s first act of grace occurred in
the Bible. It also brought me to reflect on the actual meaning of
¥4 grace. Grace is defined as an undeserved favor given; something
gained without merit or effort. In this world where one's
° achievements commonly define who they are in the eyes of people
as well as their own selves, grace is more often than not,
‘ overlooked.
\ >/ Many people crave for recognition and to be acknowledged as
someone special because of the things they have achieved. People
~B - ‘{ fight for what they think they deserve and oftentimes fall into the
trap of pride. But realistically speaking, do we really deserve
‘ 7 anything we achieve in this fallen world? Despite the sinful nature
of man and how we often fall short of what is expected of us, do we
| + truly deserve the blessings that many of us enjoy because we
deserve it? Or are we actually enjoying many privileges and joys
-ai _ purely on God’s grace to us?
\ .yd Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit from the tree that
God forbade to take from. The couple deserved to be punished and
Sas suffered the natural consequences of their disobedience. But, in
O Genesis 3:21, it says, "And the Lord God made for Adam and for his
arr wife garments of skins and clothed them”. Despite their
disobedience, God gave them what they needed; when they realized
tnroeteseo they were naked and became embarrassed, God clothed them. This
was the first act of grace that happened after the fall of man.
4 :;Trae
;;\ Coming face to face with the full realization of God’s grace and
seeing the realities of this in my life, I just can’t help but fall on my
I ef knees and simply worship God. I know Iam a sinner and because of
that, deserve a punishment worthy of death. But, God didn't want
that for me. God didn’t want that for you either. He gave Jesus
Christ to die for our sins. God is an amazing God who does wondrous
things from grace to grace to grace. Ever since the Creation - up to
now - God never fails to give us what we need. Yet, we still rebel and
cry out for the things we want and what we think we deserve, but
the truth is that we don't deserve anything in this world. Despite
that, God continues to exercise grace with us, always providing our
needs - not necessarily our wants, but more than enough to have joy
and gladness in our hearts.
God didn't fail to give Adam and Eve what they needed. This was His
fist act of grace. And then God took it to the next level and gave us
Jesus Christ. This is not just grace, but AMAZING GRACE!

BUILD WITH THE ASSURANCE OF GOD'S INTENDED PURPOSE OF REDEMPTION
AND THE INCLUSIVENESS OF HIS INHERITANCE
|. INTENDED PURPOSE
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly
realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For He chose us in Him before the creation of the
world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship
through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will - 8to the praise of his glorious
grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
ll. INTENTIONAL REDEMPTION
7In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the
riches of God's grace *that He lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made
known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ,
2°to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment —to bring unity to all things in heaven
and on earth under Christ.
Ill. INCLUSIVE INHERITANCE
in Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works
out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, #in order that we, who were the first to
put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ
when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were
marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, “who is a deposit guaranteeing our
inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of His glory.

ABOUT SBCF
Subic Bay Community of Faith started in the summer of 2010 when a vision of church planting in
Subic Bay Freeport Zone was laid in the hearts of John Phillip and Mei Chua Chiaco. On
Sepiember 25, 2010, thirty-five people mei for the first worship service with Rev. Noel Panioja,
assisted by his loving wife Jenny Pantoja serving as the Lead Pastor/Church Planter of the team.
A year later, Rev. Maurice Adam Rivera was called io continue the spiritual leadership of SBCF.
While the church over the years continued to participate in numerous community-based
ministries such as outreaches, medical missions, church planting, fellowship groups, ministering
to the ministers, and other similar activities, ihe Lord steered the leadership of His Church to
prioritize discipleship and focus on the internal growth of those called to SBCF. Through His
leading and voice, the mission of SBCF became clear: to Develop Dynamic Disciples by leading
others to cultivate their inner life through Christ Jesus.
Today, SBCF continues to champion the call to Christian authenticity by prioritizing our own
relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We encourage people of all ages and
thebackgrounds to come and experience joy and resteciness only Christ can bring. Worship with
us, and come as you are! Welcome io the SBCF family!
ABOUT THE SERMON SERIES
BUILDING DEEP: BRICK x BRICK
aIn ourJourney as disciples of Christ Jesus, we are called to live life that continuously develops depth of
tospiritual understanding. As we mature, it is no longer enough just know the fundamentals of our faith, but
necessary to build a much deeper relationship with our God. We must learn to understand the purpose of
the personal ministry He gave to each one of us, and learn to work together in order to attain the whole
measure of the plans He prepared for His Church,
In order to achieve this, one must continue building on what was already prepared, and start building up
steadily, brick by brick, It is through the steady additions of these sturdly and solid “bricks” that a house built
to last could be reacly for its intended purpose.
We have created 13 sermons from the Book of Ephesians meant to build on the foundation we have already
started and help us grow deeper in our Christian faith by understanding the nature and purpose of His
Church, and how we each play a pivotal role in the Body of Christ.
Come and journey with us as we build the beginnings of our superstructure in Christ Jesus, Brick by Brick.
