i UNITED IN LOVE

“Ee , “How good and pleasant it is when Goa’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)

‘ ]¥f Unity is the manifestation of love. If there is love for one another, there is a bond of peace and
.7 ; harmony; there is compassion for one another; there is understanding; and there is mercy
and forgiveness. There is unity, because people submit and prioritize one another.
rit
God’s story is about reconciliation with man. Jesus - before his last and final hour on

,Ps,iHJha 7a, Univtyyin ChriCsht riisstimportant because i4t is how the world wi|ll know that we are
h ¥ :Y* Disciples of Christ Jesus, carrying the truth of Christ's sacrifice for the
purpose of reconciliation between man with God. Jesus also
}; demonstrated unity when He submitted to the Father to take His role as

Tet ; the sacrificial lamb for the redemption of mankind. Jesus’ death on the

¥ wW . cross paid the penalty of our sins so that we may be reunited and
A.
\ reconciled with God, for the purpose of enjoying an intimate, joyful, and
personal relationship with Him for all eternity! Therefore, we as children of
|
-God must reflect our gratitude for the love He displayed for us by pursuing

with all of our strength — unity with one another in love.

5- If people are disunited, selfish, not participative, thinking only of their feelings,
unwilling to admit their wrongs, unwilling to be reconciled, unwilling to talk about

solutions to problems, then the end result is pretty obvious — broken relationships,
b ||
heartaches, bitterness, unforgiveness, confusion, anxiety, and depression. These are not
i> from God. But, if everyone truly chooses to practice love and unity by overlooking each
other’s shortcomings and submitting and yielding to the power of the Holy Spirit, then there
Be will be peace, joy, happiness and genuine caring; serving one another in love. And the
contagiousness of it all would spread to all aspects of our lives; in our homes, marriages,
families, friendships, church, and communities. If we are united in love with one another, we are
pursuing Christ-likeness in our lives and can truly be called Disciples of Christ Jesus.

Jesus Christ said, “A new command | give you: Love one another. As | have loved you, so you must love
one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John

DEVELOPING DYNAMIC DISCIPLES
| aSubic Bay Community of Faith started in the summer of 2010 when vision of church planting in Subic

i Bay Freeport Zone was laid in the hearts of Jonn Phillip and Mei Chua Chiaco. On September 25,
2010, thirty-five people met for the first worship service with Rev. Noel Panioja, assisted by his loving
Ds,
wife Jenny Panioja serving as the Lead Pastor/Church Planter of the team. A year later, Rev. Maurice
aif 7 f
Adam Rivera was called to continue the spiritual leadership of SBCF.
i | yal
While the church over the years continued to participate in numerous community-based ministries
| a” i7. such as outreaches, medical missions, church planting, fellowship groups, ministering to the ministers,
Fyay aie and other similar activities, the Lord steered the leadership of His Church to prioritize discipleship and
| i) focus on the internal growth of those called to SBCF. Through His leading and voice, the mission of
SBCF became clear: to Develop Dynamic Disciples by leading others to cultivate their inner life
through Christ Jesus.

Today, SBCF continues to champion the call to Christian authenticity by prioritizing our own

relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We encourage people of all ages and backgrounds
our mandate. ‘ =(THE BEING)
to come and experience the joy and restedness only Christ can bring. Worship with us, and come as

_ “HOW TO WORSHIP”

ew @
GG
a—_ U/)/.,7a]/U,U), > When | was a child and first came to know Jesus personally, | was taught by my grandfather
' 7= and several church elders to keep siill and stay quiet curing worship. The first church |
attended promoted a solemn style of worship, with a single guitar or piano as
| — Ly7 accompaniment to ihe hymnals we sang. As | grew spiritually, | came across
Evangelicals who were very loud (in my opinion), expressive, and lively in their
worship with drums, eleciric guitars, and brighi lights! And so a question came to me:

> How should we worship God?

| found my answer in Psalms 150. In verse 7 it says, “Praise Him in His
sanctuary”, which told me where to worship God and insinuated corporate

/ worship. “Praise Him for His mighty acis and His greatness” (verse 2) gave

SS Y me the reason for worshipping Him and reminded me that it’s all about
Y what God has done and who God is; not about what | could do for Him.
/NX
~ Jfj Shall | include music? Yes, praise Him with different musical
instrumenis like the trumpet, cymbals, strings, harp, lyre... all laid out
from verses 3-5. Dancing was also mentioned and encouraged by King
\ ) / David, dancing along with the musical instruments!

Who should worship? According to verse 6, everything that has breath should

jf worship the Lord! Everyone is equally given the opportunity and privilege to

j |\ praise Him. | praise God for giving me the right to worship Him even though fail a

j lot, commit mistakes, and fall back to sin. | don't deserve it, but God's grace is so

J amazing. And through Christ, He restored our tarnished position, allowing us to stand

/ before Him and raise our expressions of worship back to Him in a manner acceptable

/' and pleasing!

[/Whether in solemn worship or loud expressive praise... as long as we understand and apply

if Psalms 150 with genuine hearts, God is glorified! Praise the Lord!

i- #aad
i|Ny1g Being a Disciple of Christ in His local church ECCO, my responsibility is to preach the Word

of God and share the gospel of truth, working all the time diligently and humbly with love,

and setting a good example of showing Christ’s compassion for people.

V In Matthew 3:1-3, it reads: “In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the

f . wilderness of Judea and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.'

| “.. ) \ Y)J This is He who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: 'A voice of one calling in
the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.”

\ This passage always reminds me of my duty and responsibility as a Pastor
of His church, and my role to prepare the way for our Lord! This passage
also reveals that this practice of preparing the way for our Lord started
even way before Jesus began His ministry. John preached about the
arrival of the kingdom, and baptized those who were willing and
repentant, showing excitement for who was to come! In the same
~4f way, we are called to prepare for the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven.

35 / lf we pursue Jesus with the same passion and love as His disciples cid in

| the Gospels, more souls will be saved! So let us do our part and commit to

what the Bible says. Do it for the glory of God, give our best, and let God do
the rest!

Are you a Disciple of Christ? If so, let’s follow The Great Commission and prepare
the way of our Lord by sharing Him to the people around us. Let us unite as one Body

4 of Christ of local churches in Olongapo City, and declare our love of God to our
families, friends, neighbors, workmates, and our community! Let us declare the truth that
ia salvation comes through Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior! Jesus is coming soon, so let

us do our part to prepare the way for Him!

Shalom!

WHAT IS “SHOUT IT OUT”?

Every person has a story to tell. Each person has a unique background and history, facing
different trials, strife, and hardships of many kinds to different varying degrees. Yet, those
who have heard the Good News and believed also have a continuation to that story; a story
about God's faithfulness, a story about God's unfailing love, a story of new beginnings and
revival through God's redemptive plans for all His children. And these stories are meant to
be told, meant to be shared, meant to be declared for the whole wide world to hear!

Today, the collective Body of Christ unite in a special joint service to declare God's
ever-present faithfulness and love, shouting it out and declaring this truth to the world!
We, Olongapo Christ Centered Community (OCCC), Evangelical Community Church of
Olongapo (ECCO), and Subic Bay Community of Faith (SBCF), coming from different
backgrounds, fulfilling different specific roles for God’s Kingdom, comprising of different
unique individuals, come together in unity to celebrate our one true king, Jesus Christ!

We are not going to keep this joy suppressed, but SHOUT IT OUT through words, songs,
and praise! Let us rejoice in Christ by sharing our fulfillment and happiness in the Spirit
with one another! Let everyone hear of God's goodness. Let everyone see God's unifying

love amongst all His people. And furthermore, let everyone feel and experience the

transforming powerof Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!

Shout. It, Out!
