The Dining Chair Collection

Our Process

Hand made in our Herefordshire workshops - traditional
skills, developed over forty years’ experience, are
employed in the creation of I & JL Brown’s bespoke
furniture. Our craftsmen continue to develop their
extensive range of colouring and finishing techniques
which can transform traditional to contemporary.

The importance of discussion through every stage is
paramount for us; from initial customer concepts, aspects of
scale, materials and finish, through CAD and final drawings
to prototype production. We work in close collaboration
with you to achieve completion to specification, deadline
and budget.

From Concept to Reality

From designer's sketch to CAD and final plans, decisions
on studding or piping, leather or fabric can take place
during the design process up to prototype stage. The
latest technology backed with our experience and
knowledge of furniture making facilitate the path
towards total customer satisfaction.

Walnut Cherry Beech Ash Oak

We work primarily in English hardwoods including Oak,
Beech, Cherry, Walnut and Ash. The quality and stability of
our timber is crucial to the finished quality and longevity of
each item of furniture we produce. Carefully selected
timbers are laid in our workshops, to allow grain
configuration to settle to maximise strength and decorative
quality.
