Welcome

Welcome to Active Kids Group. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding working relationship
with you. This partnership handbook is designed to give you the information you will need whilst you are
partnered with Active Kids Group.

About Us

Active Kids Group aims to inspire children with a lifelong passion for learning. We achieve this by
providing a high-level of care and education in an environment designed to stimulate and inspire.

For over 25 years, we have consistently provided children between 8 weeks and 6 years of age with
the tools to confidently learn and grow. We make sure all our children achieve their highest potential,
ensuring every child’s love of learning is nurtured.

We are proud to say that Active Kids Group is among the most preferred and loved child care centres.
We currently have 15 locations across Sydney.

Right at the top, and all the way through, Active Kids Group is run by educators passionate about
learning. Our educators are carefully chosen for their strong qualifications, experience and natural
flair. We take pride in our team of loyal, intelligent and seasoned educators, who inspire a passion for
learning through stimulating environments within our child care services for children.

Our Difference

Attentive, Well-Rounded Curriculum Incorporating the EYLF
EYLF centres on the idea that early childhood plays a pivotal role in children’s learning and
development. This framework has a specific emphasis on play-based learning and recognises the
importance of communication and language, social and emotional development.

Stimulating Environments
Our children are surrounded by an environment that encourages their creativity, energy and curiosities.
We use natural materials to create environments that will keep up with every child’s play and learning
curves, and not unnecessarily constrain them.

An Uncompromising Stand for Child Protection
Active Kids Group participates actively in Child Safety programs such as All Children Being Safe (ACBS)
by NAPCAN, and partners with Bravehearts – an organisation dedicated to child protection in Australia.

A Culture of Learning Through Play
Learning is built into every activity here. Children are always surrounded by a supportive environment.
Whether they are eating, sleeping or playing – they will always be encouraged to follow their natural
inquisitiveness, learn, and essentially, be themselves.

Fresh, Healthy, Multi-Cultural and Nutritious Meals
Thoughtfully prepared meals by our on-site chefs to ensure the nutritional requirements of our children
– no matter what cultural background – are always met. Additionally, we are nut and egg-free service.

Our incredibly talented and experienced educators inspire a passion for learning through stimulating
experiences and environments, based on each child’s interests, strengths and individual learning needs.

Our Teams

Professional Educators
Our team is committed to providing your child with an educational and caring environment.
To do this we build trusting relationships with your family and work with each family to ensure we
understand your child’s needs.
We get to know you at orientation visits and then we continue to communicate with you openly each day
that your child attends. Our educators will provide your child with support to develop confidence in their
own abilities and the opportunity to extend on their knowledge of the world we live in. We also know that
your child enjoys lots of care and praise during the day. We provide our educators with a positive work
environment and we support each educator’s ongoing professional development to provide you with
the best team. We provide learning and employee recognition opportunities to ensure that we retain our
teams, so that the relationships they build with your child are long lasting.

Management Team
Active Kids Group services are supported by an expert team of early childhood education professionals
who provide leadership and consultation.
This team ensure that we deliver quality education to our children as well as ensuring that we continue to
be recognised leaders in the provision of early childhood services.
Active Kids Group operations, children’s services, financial, administration, human resources and marketing
managers lead our education and development strategy. Our Management team inspires and motivates
the team of passionate early child hood professionals, creates a mentoring culture of continual
improvement, implements professional development workshops and ensures that all educators have
access to a wide range of educational materials.

Family Relations Team
Active Kids Group have a dedicated family relations team who are here to assist you with all of your
enrolment enquiries.
This team is dedicated to providing you with the most up to date, efficient and
professional advice and service.

Our Learn & Grow Program

Learn & Grow Program
The Active Kids Group Learn and Grow team
consists of professionally trained fitness, dance,
drama and language educators. The aim of this
program is to inspire a passion for learning; for
today and tomorrow.

All programs are delivered in the form of 30
minute weekly lessons. Each week, educators
and families will receive the lesson plans and
the resources that will be used. This enables
everyone to become actively involved in the early
childhood learning journey.

Our Learn and Grown Program has a 3 pronged
approach, and includes:

Dance & Drama
Dance and Drama allows children to express
their creativity and ingenuity through movement
and acting while developing their gross and fine
motor skills.

In our classes we focus on improving their dance
fundamentals through fun games and adventures
while building their confidence by playing
different characters and exploring different
scenarios in exciting activities.

The children will also learn the importance of Through their language sessions, children
teamwork, sharing and problem solving while not only develop a sense of belonging to
experiencing the pleasure it is to dance and act communities, but gain an understanding of

Language
Learning a foreign language helps with brain
development and lays the foundation for lifelong
academic achievement. Our language programs
are designed with the goal of impacting the
children’s ability to interact with care, empathy
and respect.
