Officers & Directors Dear Members, Mr. Doug Holtz
As a way of introduction, and explanation, I am Doug Holtz, Interim General Manager. Interim General Manager
May 2017 – April 2018 The Board of Directors hired me and my company, Club Advisors, to assist in the transi-
tion during the Search for a General Manager. I arrived at the Club on January 4th and “My first

Arizona so the only adjustment has been the weather, otherwise I find the community and

Thomas Bayer On a sad note, your longtime Assistant General Manager of 24 years Richard Riedesel
Lauren Nevius has decided to leave the Club and pursue other challenges. Rich has been the glue that,
in many cases, has held the Club together over the last several years. He will be missed,
Keith Sias probably more than we know. Rich’s last day at Sangamo Club will be on February 24th.
Please stop by before he leaves and wish him the best!

FEBRUARY 13 My Life in Poetry

Rober Seufert Robert Seufert was born in 1946 in New York City
My Life in Poetry and attended Fordham University in the Bronx. He
received his Phd in Renaissance English Literature
MARCH 13 from Ohio University in 1975 and taught for sever-
al years in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Albuquerque, New
Malinda Craig Mexico. From 1981 to 2012 he taught literature and
American Empress: The Life composition at MacMurray College in Jacksonville,
Illinois, where he received four awards for teach-

chapbooks in 2014, Rooting and Other Poems 1965-

Sean-Edward Hall. Robert has lived for the past quarter century in Winchester,

My Life in Poetry will be Robert’s seventh presentation at the Sangamo Club.
Maurine Magliocco He has previously lectured on D. H. Lawrence, William Shakespeare, Sherlock
The Nightingale Holmes, and his own epic The Voyage.
My Life in Poetry traces Robert’s intimate association with poetry from his days
