THE WORD OF GOD
Processional

Processional Hymn

All Hail the Power of Jesus’s Name
All hail the power of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye morning stars of light,
Who fixed this floating ball;
Now hail the strength of Israel’s might,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God,
Who from His altar call;
Extol the Stem of Jesse’s Rod,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Ye seed of Israel's chosen race,
A remnant weak and small,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him, ye heirs of David’s line,
Whom David Lord did call,
The God incarnate, Man divine,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Sinners, whose love can ne’er forget
The wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Let every tribe and every tongue
Before Him prostrate fall
And shout in universal song
The crowned Lord of all.

Opening Sentences

Priest: Therefore, I will offer in his dwelling an oblation with
sounds of great gladness; I will sing and make music to

the Lord. (Psalm 27:7)

I will offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon
the Name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in

the presence of all his people. (Psalm 116: 15-16)

Gracious is the Lord and righteous; our God is full of
compassion. (Psalm 116: 4)

Blessed be God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Alleluia!
Alleluia!

All: And blessed be His Kingdom, now and forever. Amen
Alleluia! Alleluia!

All: Blessed Lord and Father, we have assembled in your Name
and in fellowship with one another. Enable us by your grace

to offer the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; to
proclaim and respond to your holy word. Teach us to pray
for your world and your Church. Grant that we confessing

our sins, may worthily offer to you our souls and bodies as
a living sacrifice and eat and drink of your spiritual food in
this Holy Sacrament. Amen

Collect For Purity

All: Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known,
and from you no secrets are hid: cleanse the thoughts of our
hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may
perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your Holy Name,
through Christ our Lord. Amen

Kyrie Lord, have mercy
Christ, have mercy
Priest: Lord, have mercy
All:
Priest:

Gloria

Gloria In Excelsis
Glory to god in the highest,
and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King,
almighty God and Father,
we worship you, we give you thanks,
we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
You take away the sin of the world:
have mercy on us;
You are seated at the right hand
of the Father:
receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
You alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen.

The Collect of the Day

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we thank you for this Family
Reunion; for all gathered here and those absent from us. We
remember with gratitude your Blessings received through our family
members living and departed. Fill us with faith, virtue, knowledge,
temperance, patience, godliness. Knit together in constant affection
those who, have been made one flesh. Turn the hearts of the parents
to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents; and so
enkindle fervent charity among us all, that we may evermore be
kindly affectioned one to another; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Ministry of the Word

A Reading from the Old Testament
Ecclesiasticus 44:1-15

So let us now give praise to godly men, our ancestors of generations
past, those whom the Lord honoured with great glory, in whom his
greatness has been seen from the beginning of time. There were
some who ruled kingdoms, and some who were known for their
strength. Some were wise advisers, and some spoke prophecies.

There were statesmen whose policies governed the people, rulers
who issued decrees, scholars who spoke wise words, and those who

used pointed proverbs, poets, and composers of music, rich and
powerful men living peacefully at home. All these were famous in
their own times, honoured by the people of their day. Some left a

reputation, and people still praise them today.

There are others who are not remembered, as if they had never lived,
they died and were forgotten, they, and their children after them. But
we will praise these godly men, whose righteous deeds have never

been forgotten.

Their reputations will be passed on to their descendants, and this will
be their inheritance.

Their descendants continue to keep the covenant and always will,
because of what their ancestors did. Their family line will go on for

ever, and their fame will never fade. Their bodies were laid to rest,
but their reputations will live for ever.

Nations will tell about their wisdom, and God's people will praise
them.

Reader: This is the Word of the Lord
All: Thanks be to God

Psalm 67

May God be merciful to us and bless us, show us the light of his
countenance and come to us. Let your ways be known upon earth,
your saving health among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O
God; let all the peoples praise you. Let the nations be glad and sing
for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide all the nations
upon earth. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples
praise you. The earth has brought forth her increase; may God, our
own God, give us his blessing. May God give us his blessing, and may
all the ends of the earth stand in awe of him.

A Reading from the New Testament
1 Corinthians 13: 1-13

If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I
am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers,
and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so
as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away
all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do
not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or
rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it
does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all
things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for
tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we
know only in part, and we prophesy only in part; but when the complete
comes, the partial will come to an end.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned
like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways. For
now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I
know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of
these is love.

Gradual Hymn

The King of Love My Shepherd Is

The King of love my Shepherd is,
Whose goodness faileth never;

I nothing lack if I am His,

And He is mine forever.

Where streams of living water flow
My ransomed soul He leadeth,

And, where the verdant pastures grow,
With food celestial feedeth.

Perverse and foolish oft I strayed,
But yet in love He sought me,
And on His shoulder gently laid,
And home rejoicing brought me.

In death’s dark vale I fear no ill
With Thee, dear Lord, beside me;
Thy rod and staff my comfort still,
Thy Cross before to guide me.

Thou spread’st a table in my sight;

Thy unction grace bestoweth;

And oh, what transport of delight
From Thy pure chalice floweth!

And so through all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never;

Good Shepherd, may I sing

Thy praise Within Thy house forever.

Priest: The Lord be with you
All: And also with you

Sermon Hymn

Just A Little Talk With Jesus

I once was lost in sin but Jesus took me in

And then a little light from heaven filled my soul

It bathed my heart in love and wrote my name above
And just a little talk with Jesus made me whole

Chorus
(Now let us) have a little talk with Jesus

(Let us) tell Him all about our troubles

(He will) hear our faintest cry (and He will) answer by and by

(Now when you) feel a little prayerful yearning

(As your) heart unto heaven is turning

(You will) find a little talk with Jesus makes it right (it makes it right)

Sometimes my path seems drear, without a ray of cheer
And then a cloud of doubt may hide the light of day
The mists of sins may rise and hide the starry skies

But just a little talk with Jesus clears the way

Chorus

I may have doubts and fears my eyes be filled with tears
But Jesus is a Friend who watches day and night

I go to Him in prayer He knows my ev’ry care

And just a little talk with Jesus makes it right

Chorus

The Breaking of The Bread

Priest: We break this bread to share in the body of Christ.
All:
Priest Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share
in one bread.
All:
My brothers and sisters in Christ, draw near and receive
Priest: His Body which He gave for you, and His Blood, which He
All: shed for you. Remember that He died for you, and feed on
Him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.

Grant gracious Lord, that we so eat the flesh of your dear
Son, Jesus Christ, and drink His blood, that we may
evermore dwell in Him and He in us. Amen

Draw near and receive the Body and Blood of our Saviour
Jesus Christ with Faith and thanksgiving.

We do not presume to come to this your table, most
merciful Father, trusting in our own righteousness, but only
in your boundless mercy. We are not even worthy to gather
up the crumbs under your table. But you are the Lord ever
the same, ever merciful. Grant therefore, Lord of grace and
love, that we may so eat the flesh of your dear Son Jesus
Christ and drink His blood, that with bodies and souls made
clean from every stain of sin we may evermore dwell in
Him, and He in us. Amen

Agnus Dei

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world:
Have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world:
Have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world:
Grant us peace.

The Body of Christ given for you.
The Blood of Christ shed for you.
Amen
