Giving Nasal

Staff : Good morning Mr. Magoo. I’m

going to give you some nasal spray

to reduce the swelling in your nostrils.

Patient : Alright.

Staff : Please sit upright. Now gently blow

your nose to clear the nasal passages.

Good. Press one nostril closed.

Patient : Which one ?

Staff : It's up to you. Now I'll insert the tip

of the spray bottle into the nostril.

Take a deep breath. Now I'll do the

same thing with the other nostril.

There now. Don't blow your nose for a

while.

Patient : Alright.

staff : I'll leave a small basin and some

tissue on the bed side table, Please

press the button if you need

anything.

Patient : Thank you nurse.

Staff : I'll be back In 15 minutes or so, How

do you feel?

Giving Oxen

and mouth. Then I will adjust this
elastic band around your head to
hold the mask firmly. Is that all right ?
Patient : It's all right, but the band is rubbing
against my cheek.
Staff : I will put some gauze under the
band. Is that better ?
Patient : Much better. Thank you.
Staff : Just breathe normally and relax. At
first there may be a slight discomfort,
but you will get used to it. Try to get
some rest.
