Hi Erza,
I am fine, thank you. I am sorry to hear that you missed the Sing-Along Song
Contest. Hope you are feeling better now. The contest was entertaining and full of
fun. We had a great time there.
Yes, the contest for this year was very competitive. The contestants came with many
fantastic outfits and creative props to make their shows beautiful. The champion of
the contest was Mandy from Cemerlang Class. As you mentioned, it was a very hard
for judges to decide winner. There were a few marks between 1st runner up of
contest. The champion won a RM300 cash prize and a certificate.
Yes, I enjoyed Pamela Shaw’s performance because she sang melodiously with
correct pitch. Her voice was mellifluous and hit the high notes effectively.
I am sorry, it sounds interesting but I don't think I would like to sign up for a singing
lesson with you. It is because I am definitely not interested in singing.
See you soon, Take care.
Thank you.

From: Munirah
Subject: Sing-Along Song Contest
Hi Erza,
I’m getting on great. It's a pity that you weren’t able to join the contest due to your
ankle injury. The contest was very entertaining as the performers had nice voices
and sang their hearts out in order to win. I had taken some videos of them singing if
you wanted to hear and see what you missed out.
What you heard was true. All of the performers were very serious and well-practiced.
There wasn't anyone showing any signs of nervousness. All the performers not only
did sing well but they also wore fantastic costumes and some put up very creative
props. The winner was Linda from class 1. As soon as she started singing, the whole
hall was silent, absorbing themselves in her performance. She won a certificate and
cash worth RM500.
About Pamela Shaw’s performance, I really enjoyed it because she sang beautifully
and also could hit the high notes effortlessly. I’m actually had been a fan of her since
she won Malaysia Young Idol. I had binged watch all of her performances and to
think that I could hear her perform in front of me was a dream come true. Her voice
was really one of a kind and truly captivated the audience.
I’m sorry, I don’t think I would like to sign up for singing lessons. Singing is definitely
not my cup of tea.
Until later! Take care.

Hi Ezra,
I am in the pink of health. I am sorry to hear that you sprained your ankle and were
unable to join the contest. I would like to let you know, the contest was great and
fascinating because we met many people.
Yes, the contest was way different from what I knew. All the contestants were very
competitive, which made it hard for the judges to make the final decision. At last, the
winner was a little girl named Azura, and she won a RM5000 cash prize.
You are right, Pamela Shaw was invited as a guest singer for this competition. Her
performance was stunning with her soft voice and beautiful outfit making her more
outstanding. In the end, her performance was good and I did enjoy it.
It was a good idea! But I am sorry to say that I cannot join the singing lesson
because i was definitely not interested in singing.
See you in the next email. Take care

Subject: A Successful Trip
Hi there!
With wonderful people, life has been great! I really hope that you can join us and
have a great time together. I hope you are getting better now. Well, the trip was fun
and enjoyable.
Yes, Mages was right. We did a lot of fun activities and created memories together.
Firstly, we had a picnic as planned and everybody brought some food to eat. It was
like pot-luck. Next, we also took a lot of pictures and selfies together. The places
there were filled with beautiful scenery and worthy of taking a lot of pictures. You
want to see those pictures? If you want to, I will send it by email later or you can look
for it in my Instagram #LuvYou.
On the way back, yes, our bus’s tire punctured, but we did not have to wait for a long
time because there was a car stopped by to help the bus driver to change the tyre.
Of course, I would go with you if there is another trip and if my parents allow me. We
need to have a great time and create a lot of memories together.
Until later!

Hi Nidhia!
Life has been good. I hope it is the same for you. I hope you are getting better now.
Well, the trip was fun! I enjoyed every minute of it.
Yes, Mages was right. We did some fun activities such as lucky draws. We had a
picnic at the beach. Everybody brought some food. We also took a lot of pictures and
selfies. The places there were so Instagram-worthy. Especially for those who
enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset. Sunrise and sunset on the beach are both
amazingly beautiful. You get a full panorama of the sky with nothing on the horizon to
impede the view and the colors are spread out across the sky. Personally, sunrises
and sunsets keep me in peace and blend me into the surrounding nature to be as
one. I have been on cloud nine ever since day one.
On the way back, yes, we had a puncture. But no, we did not have to wait for a long
time to get it fixed because every Tom, Dick and Harry helped the bus driver change
the tyre. Changing tires doesn't have to mean a trip to the garage. It's easier than
you think. Changing your own tires is a job you can handle yourself if you already
have rims attached to your tires. Anyone can do it, it just takes knowledge, practice
and confidence to build the skill.
Of course, I would go with you if there is another trip and if my parents allow me.
Until later!

Hi Nidhia,
I am fine. I hope it is the same for you. I am sorry to hear that you are not able to join
our class trip. I hope you are getting better now. Well, the trip was really fun, exciting
and enjoyable because there were many fun activities. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Yes, Mages was right. As a matter of fact, there many activities that are suitable for
those who like outdoors activities like flying fox and jungle trekking. This activity
makes our friends who love extreme activities feel excited to try it. The package of
the activities are affordable and satisfied and the safety was perfect. It became more
fun as we could see the beautiful scenery in the jungle.
That’s right, the bus had a puncture on our way back from the trip, but luckily it
doesn’t take a long time to fix it. This is because all the things to repair the tyre
already completed in the bus. The boys also helped the bus driver to change the
tyre.
I think the plan about having another trip with you is quite good as we can spend
time together. I will take a look at the free date and time first then I will let you know.
See you soon!

Subject: Public Speaking Course
Hi Elyas,
Everything is fine here. I hope you are doing fine as well. Yes, you are right, Elyas. I
have joined a public speaking course recently offered by The Loudspeakers Centre
near my house. I have already contacted the centre and they have confirmed that
there’s a branch near your house.
This centre prepares many activities for us to enjoy while learning public speaking. It
is good and suitable for us who want to learn public speaking and do not have any
basics about it. I find it really helpful and useful as I get to learn and practise myself
in different situations. This centre also offers a session where students can learn
about pronunciation and can help us to improve the way we talk.
The trainers here are well trained and very professional. They are well known for
their skills in teaching students who are weak in speaking English. The trainers are
well prepared on how to ease their students who are struggling to speak confidently.
They have taught me to be more confident in speaking in front of a crowd.
Well about the fees, you do not need to worry. The price is surprisingly affordable.
The price for the beginner class is the lowest. You can check out the leaflet that I
have attached for your reference.
Do update me with your final decision. Until next time, goodbye!

Hi Khairul!
I am fit as a fiddle, thank you for asking. Just a little bit tired from the fantastic trip. I
hope you are still taking care of yourself even though you are busy with your studies.
Well, the trip was indeed a memorable one because we enjoyed ourselves so much!
What your mom said to you is right. The trip was wonderful! The BBQ that we had for
the first night was not bad but the first batch of the food burnt! So, we were so busy
catching up. We played a few games together like UNO cards, monopoly and ‘Truth
or Dare’. Uncle Li’s team won most of the game!
Yes, I had to share my room with Joy because she was the only one who is around
my age. It is not that I do not like her. Well, she is okay. It is just her attitude. She is a
bit of a filthy person!
Of course, I’ll order the t-shirt for you. Just tell me if you want to add something on
the shirt. What about putting your name at the back of the shirt or a picture on the
front? Tell me in the next email, okay?
Good luck in your exam!
Jay.

Subject: I am sad because I missed the trip
Hi Nidhia!
Life is treating me well, thank you for asking. I am sorry to hear that you are under the
weather and unable to join our class trip. I hope you will recover soon . I know that your mom
did not allow you to join the trip for your own safety and you don't have to worry because
another trip will be held in December. By the way, the trip was fun and I really enjoyed it !
On Saturday, our journey started at 10.00 am from Penang to Kedah and the entire journey
took us approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. We started our first day with water activities
like Water Confident and Lake Crossing. Everyone was feeling a little nervous as we were
not ready for this. The lake crossing was challenging but completely worth it. All you need for
these activities are just physical fitness and stamina. Then, on the night we went food
hunting at Pak Din Nasi Ulam Sayur Keladi. There are many varieties of food and we
decided to eat the popular traditional dish in Kedah which is Nasi Ulam. Surprisingly, it is so
delicious and we repeat it.
On the next day, we go Paddy Museum at 10 o’clock. Paddy museum is a large museum
devoted to all things related to paddy, the rice plant. The highlight is a 360 degrees diorama
portraying typical rural Kedah landscapes. It was very fun because I learn a lot of things
there. After, visit the museum we go to Gunung Jerai around 1 pm. We take a drive up
Gunung Jerai to enjoy cool mountain air and if you are lucky, you can see great views over
the Straits of Malacca. On the way you can stop off at the Forestry Museum. There is a
smart new hotel near the peak. Although we felt very tired, we still enjoyed the activities and
decided to visit this place again on our next holiday.
Then we go to Langkawi Island, we reluctantly boarded our boat at Paya jetty which
transferred us to the main jetty at Berjaya where we caught the high-speed ferry back to
Kedah. My first holiday island trip had been a lot more enjoyable than expected, and I now
looked forward to my next island destination that is Pulau Redang!
I think, I can’t join you because the examination is just around the corner and i don’t think so
that my mom would allow me to go on any trip, maybe after I passed the hectic week of
exam i will try to persuade my mom to let me go on any trip. Well, it's time to end this letter,
and more will follow. Also, I would like to hear from all of you too. Take care!
see you soon,

Subject: Piano Lessons
Hi Adora-chan,
How has your life been going? I am fine here, thank you. Life has been good. I hope
it is the same for you. My piano lesson has been enjoyable because it has been my
favourite instrument. In addition, my teacher teaches us in a fun way so as not to feel
bored. We will be excited to attend the piano classes.
Playing the piano has a lot of benefits. It helps to release stress. This is because
people who play piano tend to experience less anxiety and depression. Usually,
people play the piano in a calm situation. So, they would feel calmness in
themselves. It also makes you more disciplined.
Of course, I am sure that you will pass the examinations because you do a lot of
practice with your teacher. You will be more confident. Don't worry and just have
fun. The examinations are easier than you thought. So, I am so sure you would pass
the exams with flying colours.
My advice is that you need to start the lessons as soon as possible. This is because,
the sooner you start, you will feel less nervous and enjoy playing the piano with your
friends who play other instruments like guitars and drums.
Goodluck and have a great day my friend!

Subject: Public Speaking Course
Hello Elyas,
I am fine, thank you for asking. Everything is good here. I hope you are also in the
pink these days. Yes, you are right Elyas, I have just recently started to enrolled
myself in a public speaking course since summer break arrived this year. The course
is offered by the Public Speaking Kuala Pilah Centre near my house. I have already
contacted the centre for some information, and to my surprise, they also have a
branch near your area.
The course itself was simply amazing. The activities at the public speaking centre
were shown to be very useful and enjoyable. There are two activities that are
suitable for beginners, such as speaking exercises to improve our choice of words in
sentences and also to improve our communication skills so as to make us feel more
comfortable when communicating with others. You don't need to be worried about
not having a clue of what to do and what to say, as they will guide you thoroughly,
step-by-step, so that you can improve your speaking skills no matter how small the
progress is. It will be fine, trust me, I too have difficulties to talk with confidence at
first, you will get the hang of it as time goes by.
The trainers here are great. They are very experienced and dedicated towards their
job. They very well know how to ease the nervousness of the students who are
struggling to speak confidently and fluently. This has greatly helped me to overcome
my fear of speaking with confidence to a crowd of people.
You would be surprised to learn that the course is very affordable. Well, not a very
surprising matter as it is a public speaking centre. I have attached a leaflet here just
in-case you want it for your reference. I highly recommend you to sign up for the
course.
Do update me on your decision. Have a great day and goodbye my friend!
