Sport Fundamentals

Campers actively engage in a variety of sports fundamentals clinics, learn new
skills, and gain endurance in an environment encouraging sportsmanship and
effort. We hire private coaches and leading private sports programs to run our
clinics and daily sports skills sessions. Many campers have desired sports
improvement goals that they set out to achieve over the course of the
summer. We work closely with our campers to focus with them on
achieving those goals and documenting it in their personalized
sports portfolios.

Our Summer Programming and Trips After an amazing and packed day of endless fun at Camp Ariel, our campers

schedule is a reflection of our belief that come back for a second dose at night! Beginning in the Kfir division (2nd-

every camper deserves the summer of their 3rd grades) and going through our Shachal and Aryeh Teens divisions,

dreams, every summer! With an endless list of our campers enjoy a wide variety of exciting programming and trips

unparalleled weekly trips that are designed and in their respective divisions. As our campers get older, the

nights. From 3rd grade and on our campers have the option of joining 1 night
and 2 night overnights to destinations like: San Diego, La Jolla, Palm Springs, Ox-
nard and our very popular Teens trip to Lake Las Vegas!

Our new and very popular Chinuch Program is led by the dynamic camper favorite Rabbi Aryeh
Kaplan. Over the course of the week Rabbi Kaplan leads a myriad of programs with a truly
impressive sense of dynamism, excitement and most of all a tremendous and never ending

supply of positive energy. From his 'pumped up davening' to his 'wacky bracha Wednesdays',
Rabbi Kaplan has succeeded in a short time to bring and implement a wonderfully positive

Chinuch program. The weekly program culminates with the very popular Friday Shuk, where
our campers get to cash in the different colored bracelets they earned over the course of
the week for an array of Shabbat prizes and treats.

A trademark of the Camp Ariel summer, are the special visits from a variety of Camp
Ariel friends. Some of our most recent visits came from Detroit Pistons starting point
guard Reggie Jackson, Dynamic dunking stars Young Hollywood and Airdogg,
Clipper Darrel, and Los Angeles Lakers young phenom Julius Randle! The question

Color War

The much-anticipated highlight of the summer is is the Camp Ariel Color War.
Beginning with the anticipation of the legendary Camp Ariel Color War breakouts
(including but most definitely not limited to the use of airplanes, NBA athletes,

the production of our very own hollywood film and more), through the three-
day competitive and spirit filled programming from morning to night and
culminating with the annual Color War night finale, the campers and

counselors are deeply engrossed in Camp Ariel ruach

Camp Ariel Staff

Camp Ariel takes great pride in hiring the best staff our city has to offer. Modeling
the behaviors that we want our campers to embody is our highest priority.

Our staff consists of seasoned educators, college and post-college
program directors and teenage counselors ranging from 15 to 18
years old. Along with our daily staff members, we employ
sports program specialists that have vast experience
in their respective areas of expertise.
