Pacifica Pride Week 2

Ethan Dettenmaier and Combat Radio will be coming to
Pacifica on Tuesday, November 15th!

He came last year to help raise money for his annual Christmas Breakfast
for homeless children. Last year, Pacifica raised $2000 which helped feed
over 500 homeless children and their families. ASB and NJROTC are
combining forces again this year for the $2000 in two minute campaign.
Combat Radio will also be bringing items for a silent auction. He will be
bringing movie memorabilia signed by actors, directors, and artists. Last
year signed story boards from JAWS were on hand. He will also be
bringing Disney items signed by original Disney Imagineers such as Bob
Gurr (designer of the Monorail, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted
Mansion, and many other attractions)

Please join Pacifica in hosting Combat Radio on Tuesday!

Scholars who have made the Principal’s Honor Roll
for three semesters will receive the Pacifica High
School academic letter.

Those qualifying for the first time will receive a
Pacifica letter and/or the torch of knowledge, which is
our symbol for academic excellence.

Students who have continued to maintain a 3.5 grade
point average for five semesters will receive a service
bar.

Pacifica Pride Week 4

We are so pleased to announce that the voters in Garden
Grove Unified School District overwhelmingly approved

Measure P with 38,244 yes votes and 74.6% approval.

This is a huge victory for the students, families, staff, and community
members of GGUSD. Thank you to everyone in the GGUSD family who
contributed to the success of Measure P. We should all feel incredibly
proud of the strong support we have received from our community. A
special thank you to the GGEA for all of their support, including hosting
our Walk for Measure P days and working to advocate for air-conditioning
for all of our schools.

Below is an outline of some of the work that Measure P will
help fund. Moving forward, we are committed to providing transparent,
timely information to all GGUSD stakeholders about the Measure P
improvement projects and their timelines.

 Measure P will fund air conditioning in the 25 schools that are not
currently funded for it and replace air conditioning in the schools with
older systems. All schools will have air conditioning within five
years.

 Measure P will also allow for the renovation of the athletic stadiums
at Garden Grove and Bolsa Grande high schools.

 Many of our athletic facilities will also receive important updates and
renovations thanks to funding from Measure P.

 Other projects include major seismic renovation, roof replacements,
building electrical and plumbing improvements, classroom updates,
technology upgrades and more.

We have all seen firsthand the difference Measure A made to modernize
and improve our schools. Measure P will continue that great work and
make a lasting impact on the education of our students for decades to
come. THANK YOU!

suspicious to use the hotline – whether the suspicious activity occurs at
school, while students are coming or going from school, or out in the
community. WeTip takes calls on a wide variety of safety issues like
abuse, bullying, cyberbullying, drug use, guns, theft, violence, suicide,
and more.

Together we can continue to provide a safe environment for our
