Revive's Traditional Day was a vibrant explosion of colors on campus. Underneath a variety of colourful fabric strips, students in all colors of the rainbow assembled, enhancing the ambience of the Quadrangle. The melodious jingle of numerous bangles blending with lively conversations created a captivating scene filled with joy, music, and a vibrant celebration of our culture. In addition to an active DJ, there was an outstanding live Dhol and Tasha performance. As the day drew to a close, the intense and enthusiastic atmosphere lingered in the air. The Football tournament commenced with 32 teams showcasing stellar performances. Among tough competition, Government Dental College, Terna Dental College, Terna Engineering College, and Ace Football Club emerged as the exceptional performers, securing their spots in the semifinals. The semi-finals featured thrilling matches between Government Dental College and Ace Football Club, ultimately leading them to the final showdown. During Character day, students dressed up as a diverse range of fictional characters, creating a vibrant atmosphere on campus and bringing fantasy worlds to life through enactments and captivating visuals. The Pro Kabaddi tournament began with immense enthusiasm and participation from 10 teams. D.Y. TERNA Engineering secured a spot in the finals through a special chit system, while B.N.N College qualified after a powerful performance against D.Y. PATIL Management. In the finals, B.N.N College continued their impressive run and emerged as the champions of the Pro Kabaddi Tournament, defeating TERNA Engineering Article and Poetry writing competition witnessed the participation of 15 individuals, showcasing their literary skills and resulting in Harshad Toraskar winning the Spill the Ink category and Diti Gupta winning the Poets Combat category, as judged by Ms. Veena Pai. CAMP OF HARD WORK AND MEMORIES The NSS unit of Terna Engineering College organized a 7-day camp in Aware Village from December 20th to 26th, 2022. The primary objectives of the camp were to raise awareness about cleanliness and gender equality, provide skill training to students, and inform villagers about government schemes. Inauguration and Introduction (Dec. 20th): The camp commenced with a formal inauguration ceremony graced by the presence of the village Sarpanch and a respected retired teacher from the region. Local support was instrumental in arranging accommodation and meals for the participants. Cleanliness and Digital Literacy (Dec. 21st): The second day was dedicated to enhancing the surroundings. A thorough clean-up initiative was undertaken in the vicinity of the ZP school. Furthermore, participants were educated about digital literacy through the distribution of ABHA and E-SHRAM cards. AVALANCHE PAGE 59 UNIVERSITY LEVEL COMPETITION The NSS unit of Terna Engineering College participated in university level competition organized by NSS Unit , University of Mumbai in collaboration with Mumbai Sarvoday Mandal and Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce and Economics on the occasion of NSS Foundation Day. The competition included Street play on climate change, group singing with patriotic songs and elocution on respect for all religions. This event provided volunteers with valuable learning experience. NSS DAY The NSS unit of Terna Engineering College celebrated NSS Day with various activities and performances. The event began with a lamp enlightening ceremony and Saraswathi Vandana, followed by a presentation on NSS's purpose, past achievements, drives, rallies, and events. Live performances like solo singing, mimicry, and musical jamming encouraged interaction among old and new volunteers. The day concluded with a vote of thanks and the NSS clap. NSS instills in students the values of appreciating others' perspectives and being considerate towards all living beings. The slogan "Not me but you" reflects the essence of selfless service and democratic living, emphasizing the importance of welfare for society's well-being. NSS was launched on September 24, 1969, by Dr. V.K. R.V. Rao, the father of NSS and former Education Minister of India.
AVALANCHE PAGE 60 BEACH CLEANLINESS The NSS unit of Terna Engineering College, along with other organizations and volunteers, participated in a mega Cleanliness Drive organized by Beach Warriors and Kirti College at Dadar beach. The volunteers were provided with safety measures, including hand gloves. They collected non-biodegradable waste like plastic and thermocol, along with discarded visarjan leftovers and various human accessories. The volunteers worked enthusiastically in groups, making the drive successful and creating awareness about cleanliness. This small initiative showcased the potential of working together towards a clean and green nation. "Two hands can do wonders" indeed! OLD AGE HOME VISIT The NSS Unit of Terna Engineering College visited the ‘Khushiyan Foundation - Old Age home’ with 23 volunteers to understand the need for such homes. They met the senior citizens and orphans living over there, bringing happiness through various activities and gifts. The goal of this visit was to make pupils aware of their social duties to senior citizens. Such visits also trigger the student's mental process, making them aware of the sorrow and pain that people experience in their old age while living apart from their loved ones.In addition, the team distributed 1 month rice supply and soap. The experience left valuable insights and memories for the volunteers to cherish.
AVALANCHE PAGE 61 BLOOD DONATION On September 17th, 2022 the NSS unit of Terna Engineering College in association with J J Hospital organized a blood donation camp at Panvel railway station. The volunteers divided into groups to convince people to donate blood, explaining its significance and handling registration. The response was overwhelming with more blood bags than expected. First time donors participated with a sense of social responsibility. The NSS unit was proud of its successful event.

Embracing Women empowerment with WDC-ICC The Women’s development cell (WDC) works to increase gender sensitization among students in particular and raise knowledge of gender equality in general. Students are encouraged to engage on various research projects, take part in discussions, and support effort that raise awareness of gender problems. The Terna Engineering college’s WDC-ICC organized the Women’s day celebration. The purpose of the occasion was to celebrate the presence of women in all professions, advocating for women’s self worth, their autonomy in making decisions and their right to have an impact on social change for both herself and others. Mrs. R.V, Chimankare was the event’s coordinator. Mrs. Chitralekha Vaidya (Master of Engineering in environment, Mumbai university) was the event’s distinguished guest. Following a speech by the event’s main guest, the cultural event got underway. It featured singing, dancing, and the main event of the day, a fashion display. The IEEE Terna - Student’s Branch organized a Study Abroad Seminar and an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Workshop at Terna Engineering College. These events aimed to provide students with global perspectives and essential technical skills. Study Abroad Seminar: Led by Mr. Mujtaba Ahmed, the seminar emphasized the significance of studying abroad in today's interconnected world. Attendees gained insights into scholarships and financial assistance options. The engaging Q&A session further enriched participants' understanding of international education. AWS Workshop: Hosted by Mr. Shreyash Phakade-Pawar, the workshop introduced students to AWS fundamentals. Concepts such as Amazon S3 and hosting serverless websites were covered, empowering participants with practical knowledge. A doubt clearing session ensured a clear understanding of the subject matter. The events received an overwhelming response, with 40 registrations for the seminar and 64 registrations for the workshop. The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's top-ranking, internationally renowned professional society dedicated to advancing the science and technology of electronics, telecommunication, and information technology. It was established in 1953. We promote student interest in telecommunications, electronics, computer networks, and related subjects through a range of activities including workshops, seminars, and events. Our IETE committee has more than 50 students as their active members. This year IETE committee of TEC touched a new horizon by adding a Student Chapter. Many events were conducted this year to cater to the diverse interests and aspirations of its members and the whole department. Noteworthy among these is the VLSI project development on the FPGA kit held on 02/03/2023, which provided a platform for enthusiasts to delve into the intricacies of Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) design and implementation using Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. Another highlight was the IETE Students Day celebrated on 01/02/2023, where students showcased their ingenuity and talents through various competitions and activities. The event "Secure Access Management using IoT" held on 19/01/2023 offered insights into leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) for enhancing security systems, emphasizing the intersection of technology and security. This event was in collaboration with Parnit Bhoir founder of Pranit Elearning, who is a currently BE student in TEC. This event was conducted to promote EXTC startups. Moreover, the Orientation ceremony and Engineer's Day commemorated on 16/09/2022, served as a platform to welcome newcomers and celebrate the contributions of engineers towards societal progress. Additionally, the Cybersecurity workshop that took place from 7 Oct 2022 to 11 Oct 2022 provided invaluable knowledge and skills on safeguarding digital assets in an increasingly interconnected world. The speaker was Prachi Mule who has expertise in the field of cyber security, cloud technologies, and access management and is the cyber security manager at Telenetworks Technologies Private Limited. MARSA organized a Momento Making Competition, recognizing Prashant Ingawale, Saurabh Bharambe, Nehal Tandel, and Abhinav Shetti for outstanding craftsmanship, fostering innovation and artistic expression. The Engineers' Day celebration paid tribute to engineers' contributions, featuring an inspiring speech by Dr. Vikram S. Vyawahare. A thrilling quiz competition showcased students' knowledge and competitiveness, concluding with the introduction of the new MARSA committee. As part of Terna Evolve, the Mechatronics Engineering department organized an education fair introducing Class 11th and 12th students to mechatronics. Working models, including power windows, 3D printed products, and drones, were displayed, highlighting the department's achievements and inspiring students to pursue mechatronics as a rewarding career. Empowering the potential for global opportunities The Higher Education Cell at Terna Engineering College Nerul organized a seminar on master's degree programs abroad on February 14, 2023. Mr. Manoj Pakti, educational consultant, and director of STAAR UNITED INC. served as the speaker, providing insights into MS programs, scholarships, admissions, visa requirements, and other aspects of higher education abroad. The seminar attracted over 100 students interested in pursuing a master's degree overseas. On October 11, 2022, the Higher Education Cell organized a webinar focusing on insights into GRE and TOEFL examinations in collaboration with ETS. HEC secretary Ms. Ananya Raorane introduced Ms. Bhanu Sharma, business development manager, Punjab & Haryana, ETS India. The goal was to assist students applying for graduate courses requiring GRE and TOEFL exam results. The webinar, attended by over 110 students, provided valuable information and resources for exam preparation. Under the guidance of HEC Incharge Prof. Vijaykumar Chaudhari, HEC coordinator Prof. Lalit Bhoye, and event organizer Prof. Mohini Misale, both events were successfully executed. AVALANCHE PAGE 71 From the 16th to the 21st of January 2022, the MPC (Mahindra Pride Classroom) Training Program focused on 'Employability Enhancement and Youth livelihood' was organised at Terna Engineering College, specifically for B.E females by the Training and Placement Cell. Mr. Chinmay Abhangrao (MBA in HR and Marketing) and Mrs. Meghna Dubey (Graduate in Humanities) were the trainers who contributed to the program's success. The training was designed to assist students enhance their communication, soft skills, group discussion, and interview abilities. The program's goal was to provide young women the skills and confidence they needed to succeed in placement rounds and in their careers. Our principle, Mr. L. K. Ragha sir, training and placement officer, Mr. Gaurav Deshmukh sir, and MPC trainers provided excellent instructions to the students throughout the program. Communication, leadership, time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking were among the themes taught in the programme. The experienced trainers conducted the lessons which employed a range of dynamic and engaging strategies to assist participants strengthen their abilities. The program offered useful insights into the significance of soft skills. Overall, the programme was a huge success, with favourable response from participants.
