Panjat Pinang Championship (English Material for Grade 8 Student)
Panjat Pinang Championship Last year, there was a Panjat Pinang championship at my village. The participants were youngsters at around the age of 25-40 years old. I could say that it was the people who still had a spirit of youngsters. The game was prepared by the committee. Before the game started, the committee announced the game. Then, they prepared also the prizes and the material for Panjat Pinang like: Pinang tree, bamboo, water, soil, and oil to make a slippery Pinang tree. -Page 1-
The game made all the spectators feeling happy. Even though I did not join the game, I felt exhausted and tired. It was a fun game indeed! At the day of the championship, all the participants gathered. The committee gave a briefing how to play the game. The participants had to climbed one another to reach the prizes. The winner was the one who could reach the top of the Pinang tree and could grabbed all the prizes. -Page 2-
