I got the full support from the subject heads, A.L.Baldaniya,
R.H.Karmur, Ushaben Solanki, Ushaben Teraiya, D.M.Rana,
B.S.Bariya, R.D.Khuman, B.H.Joshi and others to uplift the
standard of education in the school. The board’s results improved
and now we always have 100% in the general stream and above
90% in science and std. 10th.The school was progressing
continuously and the flow of the students was increasing year by
year.
The introduction of technology in education and to take
feedback from the teachers to perform school activities
systematically was pressurizing me day by day. Hence,we got
Mr.H.R.Shekhva, the Principal of Meghani School Bagasara and
the science faculty was put under him. He visited the school
occasionally and guided the staff & H.O.D. science and I took the
feedback through the H.O.D. Mr.R.H.Karmur.

In June 2007, I got Mr.V.K.Mehta as the vice principal to
assist me. He was allotted the duties of discipline, regularity and
punctuality of the staff, proxy period arrangements, observing
the lessons and conducting the school activities. He discharged
his duties nicely with the help of the teachers.
The school was at its highest height in 2010-11 when the
strength of the students reached above 2000. It was a golden
year of the institute. We celebrated Dashabdi Mahotsav in the
presence of the then chief minister of Gujarat Shri. Narendrabhai
Modi (now the prime minister of India). It was a grand function.
The celebration went on for four days along with the group
marriage of 225 couples and all the people of eleven villages were
served lunch. There were agricultural exhibitions, workshops,
awareness about employment for the youth, eradication of
addiction, exhibition and cultural programs arranged by our
schools and colleges.

Co-curricular activities
Curriculum activities are designed and balanced with
academic curriculum so that every student can learn beyond the
subjects. Curriculum activities are meant to bring out social skills,
intellectual skills, moral values, personality development and
character building. Side by side they also develop their
communication skills, expression skills etc.
I introduced all the activities which I performed in my previous
schools. In addition to them we had many new and very
attractive activities which brought a good name and fame to the
school at the state, nation and international platform.
❖ Unique Invention– Solar Bike
“Never say ‘No’, never say ‘I cannot’, for you are infinite. All the
power is within you. You can do anything.”
- Swami Vivekananda
It was my strong desire that our students should do
something unique in the Maths & Science exhibition. Our students
Rakholiya Jaydeep, Jethva Mehul & Jogi Nishant prepared a solar
bike under the guidance of our science faculty Mr. A.L.Baldaniya.
Firstly, it was presented in the district level Science exhibition at
Junagadh which was highly appreciated by one and all and
selected for state levelMaths&Science exhibition at Ahmedabad.
Students & Teachers with C.M.Shri Narendra Modi &Shri Anandiben

of Gujarat viewing the Solar Bike.
The exhibition was arranged at Science City Ahmedabad.
There were 670 models of many schools of Gujarat participating
in this exhibition. Our solar bike stood first among all the models.
Even the then Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi & the Education
Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel of Gujarat also appreciated our
solarbike as they were highly impressed by this invention.
Solar bike was selected for the National Maths & Science
exhibition from Gujarat, which was held at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Here also it was the eye catchingcenter of attraction. The Chief
Minister & the Governor of the state saw the solar bike and both
of them acknowledged the efforts of the students & teacher. It
earned very good Name & Fame for the institution.
❖ Hand written magazines
Within theoverall school context magazine is useful in
providing a focus for written work. A student knows that a
particularly ‘Good’ piece of writing might go into the magazine.
In many ways a student magazine is the ideal project for
language learning. There is plenty of room for choice regarding
content such as art, literature, sport, computers, environment,
music etc. The student can focus on individual interest and the
four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking and
integrated naturally. A handwritten magazine encourages the
students towards creative activities.
The students under the guidance of the teachers prepare the
magazine every year. The list is as under.

School Exhibition
The School exhibition is organized every year by the
students under the guidance of the teacher. In education, the
term exhibition refers to projects, presentation or products
through which students exhibit what they have learned. It also
brings out the talent and skills of the students how to arrange
and what to arrange the materials in a systematic order.
In contrast to worksheets, quizzes, tests, and other more
traditional approaches to assessment, and exhibition may take
a wide variety of the forms in school like maps, charts,
models, diagrams, galleries of print or digital photography,
essays, poems, short stories or plays, display of the
instruments of games and sport, music, drama and art,
scientific experiments, studies and report.

Important factors affecting the learning:
Interaction – Social interaction plays an important role in
learning. Interacting with other people has proven to be
quite effective in assisting the learner to organize their
thoughts, reflect on their understanding and find gaps in
their reasoning.
When students are observing, doing, communicating and
reflecting, they are actively working with concepts and
people. We describe these activities as interactions.
Interaction is at the center of the teaching and learning
process.
Interaction makes the students to develop their knowledge
and thoughts about the subject matter. It also helps the
students to generate their own hypothesis about the subject
and in their way, it develops his imagination and thinking
power.
Types of Interaction:
There are three types of interactions –
1) Between learner and learner (relies on the collaboration
between learners with similar knowledge of a certain
discipline).
2) Between learner and instructor (relies on the exchange
between teachers and learners).
3) Between learner and content (In which students learn
from the subject, the materials and references)
Peer learning –
Students learn a great deal by explaining their ideas to
others and by participating in activities in which they can
learn from their peers. They develop skills in organizing and
planning learning activities, working collaboratively with
others, giving and receiving feedback and evaluating their
own learning.
Meaning – The term peer learning refers to situations where
peers support each other in learning process. Peer learning
occurs among peers from similar social groups, who are not
professional teachers, helping each other to learn and in
doing so, learning themselves.
A peer is someone at your own level, if you are a 10th
grades, other high school students are your peers. Peer
comes from the Latin par which means equal. When you are
on par with someone, you are their peer.
Classroom peers are believed to influence learning by
teaching each other and the efficacy of their teaching likely
depends on classroom composition in terms of peers’ ability.
Peer learning encouraged independent study, critical
thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Group Discussion –
Group discussion use to help ability to understand a topic or
concept deeply which will stay for a long time in their minds.
Improve communications skills. It is also used to improve
communication skills as it can encourage students to
become more efficient in speaking up and asking questions.
A group discussion involving a number of people who are
connected by same shared activity, interests or quality.
Discussion is important to learning in all discipline because it
helps students process information rather than simply
receive it. Leading a discussion requires skills different from
lecturing. The goal of a discussion is to get students to
practice thinking about the course material.
It gives an opportunity to all members to give their ideas
and opinion on a certain topic. It increases one’s listening
skills and confidence in speaking. It helps students enhance
their ability to articulate and defend a position thoughtfully
and respectfully.
Teachers Personality –
The teacher is an individual personality, is an important
element in the learning environment or in the failures and
success of the learner. Pupils love a happy, sympathetic,
enthusiastic, and cheerful teacher. Effective teaching and
learning are the results of love for the pupils, sympathy for
their interests, tolerance, and definite capacity for
understanding.
Environmental Factor –
Physical conditions needed for learning is under
environmental factor. One of the factors that affect the
efficiency of learning is the condition in which learning takes
place. This includes the classrooms, textbooks, equipment’s,
school supplies and other instructional materials. In the
school and at the home, the conditions for learning must be
favorable and adequate if teaching is to produce the desired
results.
It is difficult to do a good job of teaching in a poor type of
building and without adequate equipment and instructional
materials.
Physical factors –
Under this group are included such factors as health,
physical development, nutrition, visual and physical defects,
and glandular abnormality. It is generally recognized that ill
health retards physical and motor development and
malnutrition interferes with learning and physical growth.
Intellectual factors –
The term refers to the individual mental labor. Success in
school is generally closely related to the level of the intellect.
Pupils with low intelligence often encounter serious difficulty
in mastering school work. Sometimes pupils do not learn
because of special intellectual disabilities.

Education Director
By 2010-11 the educational campus of Shri Brahmanand
Vidya dham had grown very big just like a Banyan tree of
education. The campus includedmany educationalinstitutes such
as: -
Shri Brahmanand Vidya Mandir Chaparda
Shri PragnaChakshu (School for blinds) Vidya Mandir
Chaparda
Shri Kanya Gurukul- Girls Hostel Chaparda
Girnar English Medium School Chaparda
Shri Brahmanand Institute of teacher Education
Shri Brahmanand Institute of MBA
Shri Brahmanand Institute of MCA
Shri Brahmanand Institute of BBA
Shri Brahmanand Institute of BCA
Shri Gopalanandji Vidya Mandir- Adhoi, Kutch
Shri Premanand Vidya Mandir- Junagadh
Shri Nividya Schools- Savarkundla
In this way 12 educational institutes have taken place under
Brahmachari Shri Bhagvatinandji Education Trust Chaparda. Now
P.Bapu and other trustees felt the need of a person who could
bring out all the institutes under one banner and to introduce the
common pattern of education in all the institutes. Therefore
P.Bapu selected me for this task and I was promoted from the
principal to education director.
I became the education
director in June, 2011. Now it
was still a wider responsibility
to look after all the institutes
in total. The first and foremost work to me was to bring out
uniformity in teaching methods in colleges and school activities.
The activities we were doing in BVM were introduced in all the
institutes. Some more responsibilities now came to me like- to
check the hostels for their better arrangement and
accommodation, meeting with the guardians and solve their
problems and invite their suggestions, attend the visitors and
provide them all required information, attend the religious, social
functions, marriage ceremonies and hold the meeting with P.
Bapu of all the heads once in a month and get the feedback from
all the heads about the P. Bapu’s instructions and monthly
activities.
To make my work easier I drew a plan for the regular visits of
the institutes in the campus and at Adhoi and Savarkundla and
keep a record of the activities and functioning of the institution
and see that there was uniformity and no lapses in the routine
schedule and functioning.
At present my main assignment is to train and guide the
teaching and non-teaching staff and rectors. To prepare the plans
and projects for the schools and colleges in the sphere of modern
changes and challenges in education. To implement the plans and
to take the feedback from the heads and HODs of the concern
departments. To prepare the terminal and annual progress report
of all the institutes and send to Shri Ajaybhai Gudaka London
through P.Bapu.
Iconduct school survey every year to know the details of the
guardians regarding their family background such as- their
complete address with phone number, family members,
education, earning members, occupation and annual income so
that we can make a proper plan for the education to their children
and to decide the fee structure also. This survey gives us the
clear demographics structure of the rural poors as we have more
than 80% students from this group.

At the end I come to know that there are four pillars of the
education such as students, teachers, management and the
parents. When all these four put the collective efforts, the result
is bound to come but in our case being the residential school,
total responsibility comes to the school and the teachers as most
of the parents are illiterate or just have the primary education.
They are far away from the modern technology-based education.
Even though our teachers are doing very well to improve the
performance of the students and the students bring good result.
Now at the age of 77 years, I am still on my assignment
discharging my duty with full devotion and dedication. It is all by
the grace of God, the blessings of P. Bapu, well wishes of the
members of the management committee, the staff & the students
and all my nears and dears.
I conclude with my sincere thanks to the Lord, my Mentors and
all those who have helped me reach this height of success. I am
indebted to each and everyone who has supported and
encouraged me. My only prayers to the Lord are to give me
strength and endurance to continue my duties and be useful to
society as long as my health permits.
