Introduction: (sample)
⚫ Vegetables and fruits are among the foods that play
important roles in daily life. Fruit and vegetables act as fibres
and source of vitamins to our body.
⚫ However, fruit and vegetables do not last long and will be
easily damaged upon reaching a certain period of time. One
of the methods that can be used to ensure that fruit and
vegetables can be stored longer is by pickling the fruits or
vegetables.
⚫ This project is about making a food product that is produced
through osmosis process and marketing it online.
⚫ The food that I am going to produce is xxxxx.
Objectives: (sample)
To understand, appreciate and apply the concept of movement
of substances across a plasma membrane through food
production. The concept of osmosis is applied in daily life in
pickled vegetables or fruits, kimchi, salted eggs or fish and so on.
Lists of Material and apparatus needed:
• All materials and apparatus must be enough to produce
exact amount of products that response in survey form
after promotion period. For example: if in survey form,
they are 15 person would like to purchase 20 packets of
kimchi, then you should list materials and apparatus (with
units/ amount) that enough to produce 20 packets of
kimchi.
• must attached with related diagrams. One diagram could
include a group of materials or apparatus with proper
labelling of the names and units/ amount)
Procedures & results: (sample as below; must include
the precautionary steps; for results, must display the
product pictures with your clear face on)
1. Peel the potatoes using skin peeler.
2. Soak the potatoes in salt water for 10 minutes.

Marketing strategy/Methods used in promoting
product: (sample)
• Package the baked potato wedges (200g) with small plastic
bowl. (show picture here)
• Design a food menu by using xxxx (state which application/
methods such as window publisher, drawing pad or etc.)
(with different angles of food product, effective and creative
promotion phrases/ sentences/ price and attached the food
menu here)
• Promote the food during (state the period and how many
times) through (state the methods/ application used in
promotion). For example: WeChat of the group 4A,
telegram and so on.
• Complete the survey form given by teacher (state which
day).
• Get the responses from teacher (state which day) and
determine the amount needed to produce the products as
well as conclude the expenses and marketing responses.
Expenses for 10 packed potato wedges: (sample)
(amount must be corresponding with the survey form
responses)
Item Price (RM)
Potatoes (1kg) 4.95
Cheese powder (250g) 6.40
Plastic bowl (10pcs) 3.60
Total amount (RM) 14.95
Presentation of data: (sample only) (presented in both
table and pie chart form)(for pie chart, show the
percentages and amount between expenses and profit
in pie chart)
Item Quantity Expenses Profit

Potato
wedges 10 packs
Reflection:
(A) Weakness: (sample)
1. Need oven to bake the potatoes for longer time that is 20
minutes at 140C.
2. Need to peel the skin of potatoes.
3. Need to spend much money to buy aluminium foil.
(B) Improvement: (sample)
1. Replace oven to pan and then fry the potatoes which can
produce the wedges faster.
2. Bake/ Fry the potatoes with its skins and spread some salt
on its to make it more crispy.
3. Spread on the tray with butter instead of using aluminium
foil.
Discussion:
• can write points according to the questions distributed
later. Do not copy the questions into your folio or video
Conclusion: (sample)
The longer the time potatoes soak in the water with salt, the
tastier the potatoes. It is because the diffusion of salt solution
across the semi-permeable membrane of potatoes occurs.
