JUNIORS & SENIORS: If you are interested in seeing any of the many college reps that will be
coming to CMH throughout the school year, you MUST get a pass from your teacher and find out ACT/SAT Dates
what you will be missing in class. Also, we do try to schedule visits during the 3 lunch periods.
Check the list in Naviance and plan ahead. Be sure to sign the college rep attendance list when and Deadlines 4
you meet with a rep in the Counseling Center Conference Room.

College Exploration Opportunities

The 2019 Wisconsin Education Fair is being hosted by New Berlin West High School on September 30th, 2019 from
9:00—11:00 a.m. and Over 100 colleges, universities, technical schools, trade schools and military representatives come to
provide information to interested students. Digital scanners will be used by college reps so register online before attending
the fair at: http://www.wefs.org/students .

The Christian College Fair will be held at Heritage Christian Schools in New Berlin, on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:30-
8:30 p.m. Representatives from over 40 top Christian colleges and Universities in North America will be at the fair. Visit :

Free and open to the public, NACAC National College Fairs will be in Milwaukee on Sunday, October 6th from 12:00p.m.

Individual College Visit Opportunities

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is offering an Information Session and Campus Resource Fair in Milwaukee on
Sunday, September 29th. The day will start with an admissions information session, introducing you to our holistic
application process and our favorite aspects of a UW-Madison education. Then hear from a panel of current students and
alumni, talking about their unique Wisconsin Experiences. Representatives from offices across our campus will be on hand to
answer questions during the Campus Resource Fair. It will be held at 1451 Renaissance Place, 1451 N. Prospect Ave. in

Creighton University will be hosting a prospective student reception. They will be at Divine Savior Holy Angels High
School in Milwaukee Sunday, September 15th. Students will learn more abvout Creighton and meet and mingle with

Brown University admissions officers will present information about Brown’s unique academic and extracurricular
opportunities, and provide a perspective on the admissions process, financial aid and much more. Monday, September 23rd

St. Ambrose University Physical Therapy Open House on Saturday, September 14th from 8:30 a.m.—3:00 p.m. Tour the
facilities and here about professional opportunities as well as tips on applying and preparing for physical therapy school. For

Exploring Engineering at Purdue University on Monday, October 14th. The Purdue Women in Engineering Program
would like to invite you to a free daylong engineering program called Exploring Engineering at Purdue. For more information

Engineering Opportunity

Great Opportunity for Junior and Senior Students HUSCO currently offers a program called the Husco Scholars Program.
This is an online program offered in conjunction with UW-Platteville, and offers students the opportunity to receive a me-
chanical engineering degree from Platteville while working for Husco. Students can apply for this program while in high
school and enter the program after graduating with a high school diploma. Husco pays 100 percent of the tuition for this pro-
gram. Any hands-on lab work the students need to complete is done on a few Saturdays each semester at Fox Valley Tech-
nical College. Throughout the program, the student is considered a paid employee working at Husco, rotating through their
engineering, manufacturing, quality, design and supply chain departments. All scholars will also be provided a job oppor-
tunity at Husco after they graduate from Platteville.

College Financial Aid Night for Senior Parents

Monday, September 23rd, in the ARC (6:00pm - 7:00pm)

We have invited a financial aid specialist from UW-Madison to talk with you on this subject. Our speaker will ad-
dress the different types of financial aid, how to estimate financial need, common questions on the FAFSA (Free
Application for Federal Student Aid), the difference between loans and grants, scholarship opportunities and
more. There will also be time for you to ask questions.
If you have any interest in the financial aid process, please plan to attend. It promises to be very informative and
beneficial. If you have any questions regarding our College Financial Aid Night, please contact your son or
daughter’s counselor. We would be glad to assist you.
