Secondary heat source

Thermonet® EZ 100W/m2 is designed for use
in buildings with a very low heat requirement
such as well insulated new build properties.
It can also be used to gently warm the floor
as a secondary heat source.

Primary heat source

Thermonet® EZ 150W/m2 is the most
popular and versatile version of Thermonet.
Use it to provide a primary heat source in
well insulated areas with coverage of at
least 80% of the floor space.

Rapid heat up times

Thermonet® EZ 200W/m2 is designed for
use in higher demand applications such
as conservatories and can also be used to
achieve a designed heat output in areas
with limited available floor space.

Designed for use in wet areas

Thermonet is safe for use in wet areas. Our
shower tray mats are designed specifically for
use in showers. Wall heating mats add extra
luxury to your bathroom and help prevent
mold and mildew in wet areas.

What are the options?

Thermonet shower tray mats are available
in the sizes listed on this page. We can also
provide a bespoke shower tray or wall heating
mat to your exact specification.

Central drains

The shower tray heating mats have provision
for a central drain. The cable runs around the
mat leaving a clear area for drainage.

Vario™ EZ is a premium electric underfloor
heating cable system designed to provide the
flexibility of loose wire without the hassle.

The patented, high grab adhesive fixing strip
eliminates the need for measuring and makes
installation quick and easy.

Flexible spacing and output

Cable layout and spacing can be adjusted to
reduce or increase the output per m2.

Minimum cable spacing: 50mm.

Aim for 150W/m2 for a primary heat source
in a well insulated environment.

IP Ratings

Electrical fixtures in bathrooms are certified
using an IP (Ingress Protection) rating. The
IP is followed by 2 numbers referring to the
level of protection against the ingress of
foreign bodies (1st number) and protection
against the ingress of liquids (2nd number).

Zone 0

Inside bath or shower. Any fitting used in
this zone must be low voltage (max 12V)
and a rating of at least IPX7 is required.

Zone 1

Area above the bath to height of 2.25m
from the floor and 1.25m from the water
outlet. A minimum rating of IPX4 needed.

Zone 2

Covers 0.6m outside the perimeter of the
bath to a height of 2.25m from the floor.
Also covers a radius of 60cm around a
wash basin. Minimum rating of IPX4.

Outside Zones

No specific requirements unless water
jets are intended for cleaning purposes, in
which case a minimum of IPX5 is required.
