Successful People with Disabilities

Assalamualaikum w.b.t a very good morning to the headmaster,Tuan Haji
Aminuddin Bin Haji Katan,to our beloved teachers and mylovely friends from
SIRAJ Saidina Othman Bin Affan. My name ____________________________
and am from 6 JIHAD. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to delivering
the speech entitled “Successful People with Disabilities”. There are many
reasons why I love our country Malaysia.

Disability, according to Oxford Dictionary is a physical or mental condition
that limits a person’s movements, senses, or activities. However, there are
inspiring people with disabilities around the world that beat the odds and
prove that obstacles is just a challenge to defeat.

Nick Vujicic for example. An author, actor,musician and motivational
speaker who was born without lims and arms who is also the founder of “Life
Without Limbs” organisation that help others having disabilities.

Ralph Braun was bound to wheelchair since 14 years of age created a
motorized scooter, equipped a Jeep with hand controls and a van with
hydraulic wheelchair lift and he was known as the Father of the Mobility
industryfor his tireless effort of innovating accessibility designs.

Talking about Parliament, we too have our local heroes and one of them is
none other that Yang Berhormat Senator Ras Adiba Radzi. She too participated
in Paralympic Games, carved her name in Malasia Book of Record who
travelled using wheelchair in 10 days from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur and
currently in state council, representing the disables.

The last is endless and so as their inspiring determination. They clearly
manifest what “against all odds” means. I’m truly inspired with their story and
achievements and I hope that someday I can achieve my dreams and oals and
beat the odds just like they did.
