Welcome to this second edition of the Asia Pacific
Cruising Guide which I hope you will find to be
informative and useful. We have been pleased with
the way the first edition has been received though, as
with everything in life, there are always improvements
that can be made and we have implemented a
number of these based on feedback we have had
over the last 12 months. The guide is intended to
assist Owners and Captains in their planning and not
as a bible of those countries included. Each country
page directs you to more detailed information from the
various yacht services and government departments
which can vary from time to time.

Over the past 12 months APSA has worked to
bring businesses together and with government
departments to effect change to help yachts visit our
region. Some countries have opened up significantly
and others remain a challenge though overall we
would say that it is becoming easier to bring your
yacht to the region. With more reliable services
available and facilities coming on line there has been
no better time to cruise the Asia Pacific. In the guide
you will find contacts of all our members and they will
be happy to assist you in making your journey and
enjoyable one.
