________THE ONE SCHOOL NEWS FOR OCTOBER

by Patty McCaulley, Early Childhood Director

The One School provides social emotional growth activities throughout the school year. PK4 teachers, Ms. Jessica and
Ms. Jennifer, provided a beautiful lesson plan relating to Yom Kippur. Their practical approach gave their children
an enduring understanding of when we make mistakes, we can learn from them and make better choices. They also
validated that it isn’t easy to verbalize that they made a wrong decision and at Yom Kippur we have an opportunity to say
“I’m sorry” and ask for forgiveness.

The Shining Stars wrote and displayed their feelings. The Shining Stars recognize their mistakes, share remorse,
and wash them away!

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Announcements

Bar Mitzvah of Griffon Alterman (October 2, 2021)
With great love and happiness, we announce that our son, Griffon Avery Alterman, will be
called to the Torah to become a Bar Mitzvah on October 2, 2021 at Temple Beth Am.
Griffon is a 7th grade student at The Benjamin School who deeply loves his family, his dog
Rocky, and basketball—not always in that order! We are most proud of the fact that Griffon
is a genuinely empathetic person who never fails to impress us with his spontaneous acts of
generosity and kindness. Among his many wonderful qualities is Griffon’s sense of humor—he
cracks us up every day!
Thank you to Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for preparing Griffon for his Bar Mitzvah with
passion and love.

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Announcements

Bat Mitzvah of Marlee Schwab (October 9, 2021)
We are thrilled that our daughter, Marlee Reese Schwab, will become a Bat Mitzvah at Temple
Beth Am on October 9, 2021.
Marlee is in 8th grade at The Benjamin School, where she is an honor roll student. She loves
playing sports with her family, at school, and outside of school. Marlee is currently on The
Benjamin’s volleyball team and she will play on The Benjamin’s basketball team next season.
Marlee also played travel basketball for the PBG Starzz this past spring.
In addition to sports, Marlee enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, watching Netflix,
baking, and playing board games. She loves attending sleep-away camp at URJ Camp Coleman.
A special thank you to Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for their help and guidance on this
special journey.

Benjamin & Lissa Schwab

Bat Mitzvah of Ryann Weinstein (October 16, 2021)
We are proud to announce that our daughter, Ryann Lea Weinstein will be called to the Torah
on October 16, 2021 at Temple Beth Am.
Ryann is a 7th grader at Jupiter Middle School where she excels both academically and socially.
She loves history and aspires to become a travel journalist. A California native, Ryann moved
to Jupiter in 2018 and quickly realized that she loved being on the water as much as she loved
being in it. She is a skilled wakeboarder and will jump at any opportunity to ride.
Ryann spends her summers at Pine Forest Camp where she can often be found ditching her
athletic activities at the camp’s playhouse. Ryann’s academic achievements and passion for activities pale in comparison
to her incredible heart. Ryann is immensely loving and devoted to her friends, family, and her twin brothers, Myles and
Wyatt.
In lieu of a party, Ryann chose to commemorate her Bat Mitzvah with a family trip to Italy this November.
We are especially thankful to Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris, who made learning her Torah
portion both meaningful and fun.

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Announcements

Bat Mitzvah of Bryce Krieger (October 16, 2021)
With love and happiness, we are proud to announce the Bat Mitzvah of our daughter, Bryce
Ashley Krieger, on October 16, 2021 at Temple Beth Am. Bryce enjoys soccer, tennis, and
shopping. You can often find her at the mall or hanging out with her friends. Her favorite
moments are her summers spent at Camp Pinewood in North Carolina. Bryce is a sweet and
kind girl with a huge heart. Words cannot express how proud we are of our daughter. Watching
her grow into a beautiful young lady, inside and out, has been a pleasure.
We always knew Bryce has a passion for children. For her mitzvah project, Bryce, in
coordination with Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO), will collect Hanukkah
gifts for the children of the village. These presents will provide the children of JAFCO their Hanukkah wishes.
A special thanks goes out to Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for helping Bryce prepare for
this special day. Along with her sister, Madison, and her brother, Hunter, who both have had their B’nei Mitzvahs at the
Temple, we all can’t wait to celebrate this occasion with friends and family virtually.

Marla & Peter Krieger

Bar Mitzvah of Andrew Stein (October 23, 2021)
It is with such love, excitement, and happiness we announce that our son, Andrew Marc Stein,
will be called to the Torah and become a Bar Mitzvah on October 23, 2021 at Temple Beth Am.
Andrew is a 7th grade student at The Benjamin School and enjoys competitive golf, playing
the piano, singing, fishing, and being outside. He excels in school and loves to spend time
with family, friends, and his beloved dogs. Andrew has a contagious laugh, a winning smile, a
wonderful sense of humor, and a larger than life personality. He is sweet, kind, smart, driven,
and passionate about success, and without a doubt, will be successful in whatever path he
chooses. He is a hard-working, determined young man.
From the Temple we would like to thank Rabbi Brett Tancer and Rabbi Alon Levkovitz for their help. We want to give
special thanks to Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for the time she gave, and her flexibility. She helped Andrew enjoy the
process, which made it enjoyable for him.
