EDNA W. RUNNER TUTORIAL CENTER
Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center is a provider of after school, spring break, and
summer camp services for children in grades K-8. Their objective is to provide
educational support and increase grade point average and self-esteem.
Throughout the month of April, Temple Beth Am is collecting funds to buy
a Harvest Table at Simon’s Giving Garden, which is located at the Tutorial
Center. The cost of the Harvest Table is $1,700. Simon’s Giving Garden, named
in honor of Simon Baker, provides community food, a butterfly garden, outdoor
seating, and is a place for students to learn the benefits of healthy
eating and how to grow affordable herbs, fruits, and vegetables with
an environmental curriculum and STEM activities to improve scientific
knowledge. Additionally, container vegetable and herb gardens will
be shared to create 200 community gardens that can be planted
at home, at businesses, and in Palm Beach County’s vacant lands.
Please call the Temple office to make a donation to Simon’s Giving Garden.

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Announcements
Bar Mitzvah of Samuel Shear (April 2, 2022)
With much love and happiness, we announce the Bar Mitzvah of our son, Samuel Gehry Shear,
on April 2, 2022 at Temple Beth Am.
Samuel is a seventh grade violin student in the strings program at Bak Middle School of the
Arts. Over the years, Samuel has consistently earned superior ratings at Federation and Solo
and Ensemble. He is currently in Advanced Strings and Symphony Orchestra at Bak. Samuel
truly appreciates all kinds of music, enjoys being part of the Jupiter Dragons Swim Team,
and surfing during the summers. He is kind-hearted, intelligent, immensely talented, and a
wonderful big brother to Nathan.
A special thank you to Rabbi Alon Levkovitz, Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris, Cantor Jenna Kramarow, and Ms. Ronit
Meirom for their help and guidance on this journey of becoming a Bar Mitzvah.
Mazel Tov, Samuel! We are so proud of you!
Stefanie & Marc Shear
Bat Mitzvah of Sabrina Konradt (April 23, 2022)
With pride, delight, and love, we announce the Bat Mitzvah of Sabrina Ruth Konradt on April
23, 2022 at Temple Beth Am. Sabrina is an eighth grade student at Sunridge Middle School in
Winter Garden, Florida.
Sabrina enjoys singing, dancing, and sports, and is an avid Star Wars, Marvel, and Harry Potter
fan. She loves her friends and would be down for a jaunt to a theme park any day—Disney,
Universal, or Sea World, she loves them all.
We live in an area that has very few temples, so Sabrina decided on her own to take charge of
her Jewish education last year, expressing the desire to become a Bat Mitzvah, and we couldn’t
be more proud of how she is embracing her duty as a daughter of Israel. She is kind, sweet, and giving. She can be a
firecracker, but she definitely has “joie de vivre,” and pluck…we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We would like to thank Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for helping Sabrina prepare for her
special day.

Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah Announcements
Bat Mitzvah of Lila Goldin (April 30, 2022)
We are extremely proud and happy to announce the Bat Mitzvah of our daughter, Lila Rose
Goldin, at Temple Beth Am on April 30, 2022.
Lila is currently an eighth grade student at Bak Middle School of the Arts where she is in the
Communications program. Lila has demonstrated her creativity and leadership in her roles
as editor-in-chief of the Bak Portfolio Newspaper and on the school TV news crew. Lila loves
spending her summers at Camp Danbee, where she writes for the Beeline Newsletter.
Lila enjoys spending time with her friends, game nights with her family, and playing with her
poodles. A thoughtful and generous friend, sister, and daughter, we are immensely proud of the young woman she has
become.
Lila has been working diligently with Rabbi Alon Levkovitz and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris to prepare for her
Service. A special thank you to Ms. Ronit Meirom for helping Lila practice her Hebrew during their weekly sessions. We
cannot thank them enough for their time, wisdom, and encouragement through this process.
